What, you didn't think Irthos' halloween store swordfight would use real swords, now did you?

Anything less than a real sword is for losers. Hence the army.

Don't judge me

Heck, I've tried real swords a couple of times before, especially hand-and-a-half-swords (bastard swords), they're just close to impossible to come by over here and I don't have the time to join a medieval re-enactment group.
So I got the foam one for laughs with a lady friend of mine who's an avid fan of fantasy so we could fool around every now and then Smile

Automatic weapons are easier anyway.

No doubt about it, I don't have any experience with fire-arms though.
As far as style goes, I'd go with the sword, but as for effectiveness in modern times I'd go with the automatic weapon, I'm not a complete fool

Say, what kind off automatic weapons does the Finnish military use anyway?
Basic M-16? You don't use AK's, right?

M-16s and AKs are wankers' guns. We have our own, RK-95. Its older model basically functions like AK, but has more adjustability and the new is just golden. Here's a picture of one of my honey's sisters:

Edit: Incidentally, the predecessor of this gun was mentioned in Jackie Brown when Samuel L. Jackson was showing some random gun tape.

I know a smithie somewhere in some Eastern Europe country who ships. Maybe you could get some real no wussy swords this way Tongue

Makes most of the swords for my fencing class buddies (yeah, I learn medieval fencing. After the atomic holocaust, ammo will get sparse. Think of it. Also, totally badass) and they're pretty good. Don't have my own yet, still need to find what, errr, style suits me best.

Mmh, sounds interesting Smile
For me it would have to be a hand-and-a-half-sword Big Grin

Yeah, M_S, finish it Smile
Between Klovis and Hellfire, you should have some 5 to 6 attacks, that should do the trick, right?

Also, Tshern, would you go with a bayonet even if you didn't have any ammo for the gun it was attached to?

An impossible scenario, when I am out of bullets there will be plenty of corpses for me to loot. In a theoretical situation, I'd use a polearm of some sort, I know a little something about them.

Say, did Dictum's attack do anything? He said the dice roller didn't work when he first posted...

I asked in the game thread what the attack was. If needed, I can roll for him.
