The DC (it's described in the ritual magic section at the top of each book, as well as in the actual rituals), is 10 + 1/2 Sacrificial Hit Dice + Primary Ability Mod. There's no casting MAD.
Minimum HD for a ritual is the ritual's level. A Martyr pays 1 hit point per ritual level, plus 1 per effective hit dice. So, a level 1 ritual with 1 effective hitdice is 2. A level 5 ritual with 10 effective hit dice is 15.
And yes, the save charts are off. The Martyr is Weak Dex, Strong Fort, Strong Will.
The Immolator has to sit in a fire, taking fire damage every round, for the Self-Purgation class ability. Rounds where you don't get burned? They don't count, so no using fire resistance. In fact, using Fire resistance is banned by the class entry requirements. Getting torched is a regular thing with you.

Double post, terrible on me I know, but this is a fairly separate matter: Do we want to pick a rare language that all of us can speak? Ignan, for example.

So you know, undercommon was the native "primitive" language before common. Rare and works thematically if you so choose.

Undercommon is actually used by drow and other nasties that figure in most any campaign. But you would be hard pressed to find a language used less than Ignan in core... Ignan has my vote.

Odin, Feral Shifter Feral Shifter. "Can I drown the dead rat now?" Loke, Dread Magnate "Me all good and nice. Ask any questions and I`ll kill you twice." DnD classes is kind of like art. You make lots of stuff that everyone loves but aint no fun to play. This one is like getting a nude pic of Britney Spears when she was hot above your bed. Anyone can appreciate it. And it works as it should in practise, not just in theory. -Me to Strato regarding his Elemental

This is why I picked Ignan, just off the top of my head. There's always Auran or Aquan as well. Terran gets a bit more use, among gnomes and such like.

Current iteration of Chrefydd. Complete, aside from some spare gold. He learned Ignan and Infernal aside from Common.

Rapiers don't count as light weapons for the offhand, if you wish to change that.
I knew that, I was messing around with weapons and didn't save chnages. One of those should be a short sword. Also, Nick- are you keeping track of ammunition, should I bother buying it/ noting it? Is undercommon decidedly the "primative languauge" or is it something else?

May I suggest something like Hengeyokai or Grippli as a language? No one's knowing those

A variation of undercommon is their primitive language. But you guys dont have to know it if you choose not to. Ammunition, buy it and note it. Its a habit I should be used to and am not. And I prefer Sixth.

Here's a draft of my build: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheets/view.php?id=58805Feel free to criticise and advise. Question, are we rolling for wealth or averaging?

looks good Danke Me. Strato: I notice the Historian is proficient with Ancient Weapons aka Exotic Weapons, does the class also grant proficiency with Exotic Armours and/or Shields? Should I bother going for a theme will the weapons (race or era), or is that just fluff? Complete Champion. As I read it you can take devotions as feats as long as it fits your 'theme'. Fortunately there isn't an Ignorance devotion *smiles*.

You wrote "Knowledge Domain", not "Knowledge Devotion", just to point that out He will likely be. I am still in the process of working up the ancient weapons, and armour. For now, assume that you are proficient with exotic weapons, armour and shields, and not simple or martial weapons or armour. I'll update the class shortly. If you wish to try and get a theme going, feel free.

... If you wish to try and get a theme going, feel free. I'd like to do that. I notice that you never really come out and name the races of the era's offered, so I was wondering if they're all humans?
