Hmm... most of the really broken crap I come up with is broken because it gains early access to powers that should only be usable at later levels. Making something that is overpowered at the level where everyone is supposed to be overpowered is more challenging. Big Grin (And freakin' time consuming...)

We could use some pages out of the Dispatching the Message game buffing routine, since we'll presumably know when and where we're going to fight at least. A "super-buffing" strategy should work well, where we all work together to buff the whole party to invincibility before Plane Shifting in to fight. So someone should play an Incantatrix/War Weaver/Spellguard of Silverymoon for sure.

Vinom: No lie, a Tarrasque that acted like a RoW is hilarious. My boss just gave me a weird look for laughing in the office. Laugh

Yup, I'm not going to include the 10,000 wild surges table, I don't want the doc to be too large... Once I have this done I'll try and make it presentable... but you must remember, this is the template I made to punish the wizard for forcing his familur to swallow a RoW whole to smuggle it out of an NPC's house... he should have known better than to give me ideas....

Should we be aiming for a little Theoretical Optimization, or generally more reasonable and non-outlandish CharOp? I guess these guidelines will come later.

nonsense, the groups need to be combine randomly, or at the DM's pleasure... after we've submitted our builds... knowing your teammates would spoil the fun...

Nanshork: Yes please. If you want to form groups of 4, that'd be a good way to start.

bkdubs123: More CO, less TO. TO makes it less of a challenge, which kind of defeats the purpose.

I was thinking, is there a way to Wild Shape or Polymorph into a Tarrasque?

Ok, our group consists of: me, Risada, bkdubs123, and Vinom.  Anybody have a basic idea of what role they'll be filling/ what their character will do.

I seriously wanted to make a TWF melee thing that would exchange slaps with the tarrasques by taking Robilar's Gambit and Stormguard Warrior, or an Ardent with Dominant Ideal ACF and some other metapsi lowering methods to blast away...

What about the psionic equivalents of the banned spells (Temporal Acceleration, Anticipatory Strike, Greater Metamorphosis, etc)? I'm guessing those are banned, too, but just asking. Also, I'd suggest adding Synchronicity to the list...

Although this sounds like loads of fun, I don't know if I'll have time to build a character for it. It takes a while for me to put together a 20th level character... Maybe if I go with something that's brutal but fairly effective still... like a tricked out blaster mage (or psion).

I'm sure there will be a few additional psionic powers we'll want to either limit or ban. Schism stays for sure; that's like Arcane Fusion, but more flexible. I'll admit that I've never played a psionic character above level 7, so while I know the system well enough to not be psionophobic, I don't know which specific powers actually destroy gameplay (other than Genesis) and which ones only appear grossly overpowered, but aren't really.

Haha, I was hoping people would try using their builds from the "build your namesake" thread.

Also, I'm really hoping someone tries to use wild empathy to calm the tarrasque (niiiiiice doggie, sit boy, sit! Big Grin) Hmm, or perhaps some combination of h-elf bard ACF + Beast Heart Adept using diplomacy + wild/monster empathy?
