Anklebite: You can't cast Eldritch Glaive as part of another action. It's a full round action. However, if you can shadowpounce as a swift action, you can cast the Eldritch Glaive as a full round, then pounce and use it to attack for the full attack granted by the pounce.

Eldritch Glaive is a full-round action SLA. That's specifically called out in its description. It also, however, specifies that you can make Attacks of Opportunities with it, etc until the beginning of your next turn.
So instead of saying no, you can't use the Glaive with a pounce (which is arguably a RAW), I'd rather say, if you already cast the Glaive (which, again, is a full round action) you can use it for Attacks of Opportunities AND extra attacks granted to you (Snake's Swiftness, Swiftblade, Shadowpouncing, etc). The caveat of course is that you'd have to swift action teleport to trigger the pounce.

is warlock eldritch blast damage a function of caster level or effective warlock level? have seen arguments for both sides, so would like some confirmation.
EDIT: abrupt jaunt says "you teleport up to 10 ft". does this count as a teleport descriptor? cause if so, I can shadowpounce with it. if not, it should work while dimensional anchored or when within the area of a dimensional lock.

Abrupt Jaunt has the Teleportation descriptor, yes.

ok, should be my last question. can I retrain unseen seer's advanced learning to apply to a spellcasting class I pick up later? if allowed, I could also delay the use of the advanced learning til later too(not trying to get double learning or higher level spell shenanigans, just want the advanced learning to apply to my lvl4 shadowlord casting instead of my level1 wizard casting)
and just to make sure on this point: the +- CL for divinations/non-divinations is applied when you cast a spell, right? really, this is just cause I have it on a char that also has the master spellthief feat....
EDIT: just reread rules. flaws aren't allowed, are they? *sadpanda*

Let me get back to you on the Enspell Familiar. But no, Ring Gates won't count as within 5'. Sorry Anklebite, but you can't retrain an ability to something you couldn't do when you first took it. You can wait and take the level of Unseen Seer with advanced learning after you get the shadowlord casting, though. If you can't for some reason, you may be stuck with it applying to your wizard casting. Yes, the bonus/penalty only applies when casting a spell. Your basic CL applies at all other times. Or so the text of the class reads. Nope, no flaws. As SDK likes to say: "A build that needs flaws to work isn't really a build." Flaws just make things too easy. It'll be purely gauntlet style, Kuro. No background necessary. If you want to be hobgoblin raised by dragons on the elemental plane of urine, go for it.  |

So what if I'm exactly halfway through the gate. I am 6" tall, and I have one foot standing on one side, and one foot on the other. Which side do I count as being on? What if only my foot is through it. Part of me is within 5 feet. How does that not count? |
