My bad.  Thought you were getting it via some tricks.  Embarrassed
It's Int over Dex though, so while that favors Psions, I can see how it's a mental attack roll, not agility or force of personality based. So I'll leave it as is.

So a colossal throwing dagger? I'm okay with that.

We could be the Omega Onslaught!   Tongue

If tha's the kind of name you want, I suggest "Black Onslaught", mainly because we will have our own music theme...

Sorry guys, I may have to drop out of this. Sad Stupid classes...

Good luck with that  Wink

15 per manifestation, and they penetrate his DR. And I'll probably hit them all with Dissolving Weapon beforehand (if I use this tactic).

I'll still have to hit his real AC, though. I have another plan that only requires me to hit his touch AC, but it involves lots of sneak attack dice, so it won't work in some situations...

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

AC, would sound lance work on the tarrasque?  Or is it somehow considered a line?

It makes a projectile however, which falls under the "magic missle" clause. Spell types that Carapace doesn't screw with: targeted non-projectile spells, AoE spells w/a radius, auras, (melee) touch spells and ranged spells that require an attack roll but aren't ranged touch(more akin to an arrow than a ray; and AC is only 35 for starters). Ranged touch spells fall under the "ray" category because I would prefer to use the strictest possible ruling (for you guys) rather than the most lenient, just to force creativity.

Edit: If you want to argue with the ranged touch part, feel free to do so, but you'll have to explain how the effect hits the Tarrasque differently than a ray spell.

Best part of this challenge for me? You all are making me bone up on rules I've never gotten to play with. Big Grin
You're welcome Big Grin

Quote
Bowen, I'm not sure you'll have enough time for all of that... You'd need 1 hour to prepare your spells as a wizard, then another to prepare the Solar's cleric spells. Yes, if you use Shapechange to cast spells as a creature you also have to prepare the spells. That also means if a monster has Wizard casting, it'll be pretty hard (unless you're a wizard) to prepare the spells.
Yeah, I kinda forgot about our limited prep time, sorry Embarrassed
Time Stop maybe? Or is that banned?
Otherwise I'll try to find some other way, maybe via Extra Spell or something.

EDIT: Couatl instead of Solar should do the trick Smile

Also, since it's Tarrasque only, I don't think Consumptive Field will be useful, unless you plan on killing allies. Wink
Bag of Rats (tm)?

But yeah, Consumptive Field was just as a backup just in case, I don't really need it, at least not for the vanilla MM1 Big T Smile

Also, Grip of Iron & Gloves of Titan's Grip are both Enhancement to Grapple, so they won't stack.
Ack, missed that about Grip of Iron, will edit post, sorry and thanks for the catch Smile

That all said, I like the idea. Big Grin
Thank you kindly Smile

Time Stop is banned, yes.
Couatl will work, I think. Only takes 15 minutes of prep.  I don't want to encourage it, but I think in the spirit of the challenge, if you go this route, I should limit you to one additional form of spellcasting (so Couatl in this case) and you'd need to present the spells known prior to the challenge. Seem fair?

Bag of Rats, eh? You have a price for that, or is it a custom item?

I'm glad to see an outline for a build though. Looks interesting Smile

Yeah, I don't plan to 'abuse' it, it's just there for Divine Power really, so that ruling is fine with me Smile

I was just going to quietly fade away but since a team member dropped out I'll join them, as long as they don't have a problem with that.

Here is my current build:
Cloistered cleric 3/Church Inquisitor 1/Crusader 1/RKV10/CI+2/Cru+3

Domains being Knowledge & Undeath, trading Law for Law Devotion (+7 to attack is nice), and Trading Inquisition for Knowledge Devotion (it is just kind of required).

Feats: Adaptive Style, Extra Turning x5 (not counting Undeath bonus), Practiced Spellcaster (may trade for more turning), Extra Granted Manuever.

Plan is to spam White Raven Tactics on the rest of the party using turn attempts to regain/use it during my turn. Then use some other WR maneuvers to grant extra attacks to the party while having some Dev and SD maneuvers ready for some beat down.

Having all 3 9th level maneuvers due to Cru 4 at 20th lvl means any pics before that are to make sure i have the reqs before the swaps.

Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

Hey... just though of something...

If i'm a human with 18 base int, then get a book, then get a +6 headband, and put all my stat points in intel, i can have 34 int, thAt's +12.

Now level 3 canith wand wielder will net me +3 to the dc of my wands, and wand mastery +2.

So, i could have some DC 30 bands of steel wands.   Then cast 16 of those per round.

She's bound to fail one at least.

Think it's worth it?

Nan, she's got like 29 ref, not worth it... could try the same thing but with staves of harsh rebuke....  and then immitate a high int score...
