At least you're not starving at work and stressing because everyone around is a moron. No, just stressing about a new year at uni here

My familiar's terrible with names (possibly a byproduct of his master having no name), so he'll be frequently asking the team members for their names and referring to them with more or less demeaning descriptive terms. Mann: "That other wizard"/"fop" interchangeably Kanatash: "Meatshield"/"big dumb fighter" interchangeably Paaras: "Glass cannon" Sevharath: "That other meatshield" You may notice parallels between this and the terms Treantmonk coined in his God handbook. This may or may not be a coincidence. (It's not.)

This may or may not be a coincidence. (It's not.) Any chance of him using something a little less derogatory? Like 'Blade' or something?

However, you shouldn't think of "meatshield" as an insult - it's a very important role that needs to be filled. Until we get Planar Binding, at least.

Okay, so my drunken ass (and hand) can´t copy your small text... Care to repeat that? Also, I prefer to think of Kanatash as ´cunning´ instead of ´smart´, with the Wisdom being higher (all be it average) than Intelligence and all that

Quote the post? Anyway, so *shameless change of topic* any ideas for the Spell Mastery? I had Nerveskitter at first, but casting spontaneously with Uncanny Forethought is specifically a standard action, so it's actually worthless for immediate action spells - including Feather Fall. Oops. So I have Baleful/Benign Transposition, Dimension Door, Invisibility Sphere, ?, ?. Heck, I'm not even sure about BT and IS. Mirror Image and Displacer Form, perhaps? Yay for spontaneous defensive buffs.

Quote the post? I was talking about the tiny letters at the end of your previous post. Exactly. If you quote it, you should see them embedded in conspicious [s ize=1pt] tags. Also, doesn't work on bg. Good to know. EDIT: Dispel Magic might work well for spontaneous casting via UF.

Also, I just realised given the composition(especially the weight) of my spellbook, it'd be a servicable weapon after a dose of Greater Magic Weapon and Greater Mighty Whallop.

I shudder at the thought of using five of my seven lvl 1 slots for Endure Elements. I don't suppose some of you armor-wearers thought to buy a Crystal of Adaptation?

I know. Hence why I asked about the Crystal. If just one or two of the others have them, it eases the burden on my slots. I guess if worst comes to worst, we'll have to rely on you for low-level casting duties. Or we could simply go without EE and see what happens. I can always cast it on myself with Uncanny Forethought. Fake edit: Actually, I just realized something a little embarassing. *hides spell section of character sheet* Ahem.

Players who need to prepare spells or similar abilities are asked to post their list in the OOC thread, not the IC one, to reduce clutter.
Okay. 4th (2+1/day)— Displacer Form, Greater Mirror Image, Reserved* 3rd (3+1/day)— Anticipate Teleportation, Dimension Step, Reserved* x2 2nd (4+1/day)— Alter Form, False Life, Glitterdust x2, Reserved* 1st (6+1/day)— Benign Transposition, Grease x2, Mage Armor, Nerveskitter, Ray of Clumsiness, Reserved* 0th (4+1/day)— Detect Magic*, Mage Hand x2, Preserve Organ, Prestidigation *Specialist spell slot. "Reserved" designates a spell slot reserved with Uncanny Forethought. Struck-through spells have already been cast.
As you can see, I've changed the list around a bit (Would I have bothered posting it otherwise?). Also, here's the (more or less) finished Spell Mastery List. Benign Transposition, Dimension Door, Dispel Magic, Mirror Image, Resist Energy Lastly, I cannot help but notice that Paaras still has money. Would he mind buying some incense for my Divinations (unless you're saving for something specific, yourself)? I suppose I could craft it myself, but raw materials may be hard to come by. Damn second spellbook eating 1/4 of my money.

Do you know about this rule? I didn't until yesterday... Duplicating an existing spellbook uses the same procedure as replacing it, but the task is much easier. The time requirement and cost per page are halved. Found here: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/arcaneSpells.htm#replacingandCopyingSpellbooks

25 gp per casting of Augury or Divination. Kind of like a wand. So 10 castings would need 250 gp, if we ever need that many castings. Have you looked at Anklet of Translocation? It's only 1,400 gp, and very useful for us squishies who don't want to get our clothes dirty in melee. I did not. However, we already circumvented the cost of scribing spells by buying a spellshard, as well as buying the second spellbook rather than writing the spells into my own. My primary spellbook doesn't actually contain any spells besides those I get from leveling up for that very reason.

Hmm, Anklet of Translocation is nice. I actually think I'll get that. Thanks!
Edit: Sinfire, would the anklet be effected by the teleportation inhibition in the area?
