Richard smiles, looking at all of those that he killed personally.  He is getting a little concerned about his ammunition, but there's nothing he can do about it so he just shrugs it off.  He then goes and finds a bunk, lying down to get some much needed rest.  Someone else can clean up, he did most of the work anyway.

Woo, I heal 2 from the doctoring.

After finishing reloading his weapons John stretches his arms and releases a yawn. He then walks to the sleeping area and lies down to get some much needed rest.

Deciding that his plans are best left until he'd gotten a bit more sleep, he heads back down stairs, stepping over the corpse of one of the enemies at the bottom of the stairs. Noting Richard and Max with a nod as he sets himself down in a chair, just on the other side of the wall from three corpses, he set his knife down with his bag, and closed his eyes "See you all in a few hours."

Will get a few hours, 4 or something if it'll do, and then... we'll see.

Noting the rising smell of the corpses, Loder calls out to Eisen as he heads down the stairs.  "Hey, shouldn't we dispose of the corpses before they start to rot?  I can help a bit, even with my leg like this, but the longer we wait, the worse it's going to be."

Trying to shake off the sight of all those dead people arrayed on the deck like some gruesome sleepover party, Russo grips the wheel tightly and concentrates on the river ahead,

"hey!" he shouts down to the others "how is everybody!? nobody died right?"

"If you want to pile them up on the back of the boat, I was going to desecrate them before we dumped them..." He gave a half-hearted attempt to ignore the good Doctor's requests before sighing and grabbing his knife and bag again, heading back up the stairs. "Fine, let's do it while they're closer..." One might have noticed, either due to the stress, or to exhaustion, Eisen had started to use a more casual strain of English, instead of his more proper tone.

In any case, with the Doctors help, Eisen starts the labor of piling bodies up at the back of the boat, taking his time, but not wanting to lose out on any rest he could get, since the lack of proper sleep was starting to catch up to him. Taking the KBAR knife, he carved a swastika into the forehead (or chest, if the head was too-little intact) of each of the deceased cannibals before dumping them... he'd thought he could horridly do more, like cut their hearts out (he could have sworn there was legends regarding hearts amongst the savage strains of man, but he was no cannibal-historian), but in his effort to get to sleep faster, the slashed symbols would do. Each one took a bit more than a cut, almost carving or shaving away at the flesh to get it noticeable enough. He ignored the estranged looks of any passerby's; terrorism was a huge part of his and many others France campaigns... this was just one trick he'd picked up.

Are we moving up-stream or down-stream? Basically, will the bodies float the way we're going, or will they go back where we've come from?

Passing nearby the bridge to collect a body, Loder looks up at Russo a little bitterly, "Paco's dead.  They cut his throat." and then continues hobbling along, helping Eisen as best he can.

Pingo moves about the ship, tired and still scratched up from the night before. He had not yet seen the doctor but he knew he should soon lest something get infected. Communication wasn't always easy for him but he figured the good doc would get the picture if he pointed at a couple wounds. For now he had wrapped some clean strips of cloth around them. Helping throw the last of the bodies overboard to quicken the task and nodding at Eisen's cutting, Pingo thought it was a victory thing, like cutting the ears of your fallen opponents off.

"Paco's dead. They cut his throat".

Pingo looked up at this and shook his head. Damn cannibals.

After the task is over Pingo would head downstairs to hit the hay.

"Paco's dead. they cut his throat"

"Shit!" seriously taken aback eyes wide in horror and embarrassment, he had meant it as a joke to lighten the mood, not thinking anybody had actually died

"shit" he said again, a little quieter this time and, feeling wretched he shut up and concentrated on helming the El' Halcon'

As soon as Eisen had finished with the corpses, he went to get washed up with whatever water-basin, or at least towel and water-skin, He could find; luckily corpses no longer bleed profusely when cut, he found (probably something to do with the heart stopping and the already gaping wounds in their bodies). Whatever the reason, Eisen rinsed himself off with water/soap and water, and returned to his sleeping quarter downstairs; a nice comfy section of couch, bag next to him, rifle on his lap, head titled back and relaxed, for a few more hours at least.

After bodies get cut and dumped, I'ma going back to rest for the remaining hours I need.

The rains of the harrowing evening tapered off throughout the morning, leaving in its stead a heavy humidity, unlike any most of you have ever felt... but at least it FINALLY had stopped raining.

Behind the boat, the bodies drift lazily away downstream, back towards where the fight had originally broke out. If any of the savages came that way, there would be no mistaking them... nor their swastika embellished foreheads.

The sun continued its rise through the morning hours, and birds that had been up at the break of dawn continued their cacophony of calls. The jungle was alive with it.

The river as quiet, as was the enveloping tree line. El Halcon plodded up stream, with Russo at the helm while Bones was below decks... sleeping off his binge.

Pingo had followed, as did the sergeant, Richard, and Herr Eisen was his grisly task of cutting the corpse had been finished and he had once again cleaned himself. The humidity made it difficult to sleep, but it came and the men welcomed it.

The Kid, tired as he was, couldn't sleep-- the excitement of the evening must have been too much, and no matter how hard he'd try-- he couldn't stay still long enough to get any rest.

So he fished. In his second hour he caught himself a half-pound fish, which he tossed into a bucket of water for later. Around 9 he wandered back down to his room where he climbed into his top bunk. It was at 9:46AM when he finally fell asleep.

Russo
You come up onto a series of three tributaries on a side, each is within a quarter mile of the next. This seems like the spot that Bones had told you about before he passed out four hours prior.

Russo slowed the boat, reacognising the area bones had specified, staering ainst what little current the river had to hold the boat in position he called down to anybody in the vecinity.

There doesn't seem to be any response. It's been a while since you last saw the Kid. Dr. Loder was around somewhere as well, but Russo was pretty sure everyone else had gone to sleep.

Gritting his teeth, Loder slowly stands up out of the hammock, favoring his injured leg.  Pulling open the medical kit, he pulls out one of the Morphine syrettes and injects it slowly into his bloodstream and sighing as the pain slowly ebbs away.  He slowly limps down the stairs and over to the bunk room to wake Bones.  "Hey Bones, we're here."

Bones lets out a low groan. "Hey, Doc-- you got any aspirin in your medical bag?" He says as he shuffles his feet out the door, squinting as he does. "... and I think I'll need about 6 liters of water too-- I think the 'halitosis fairy' took a shit in my mouth while I slept. I need something to wash the taste away... and I don't think another bourbon is on the menu for a couple of days..."

Bones followed him to his medical bag, and waited long enough to get the aspirin. Then he made his way up the stairs to the wheel house, where Jon Russo stood at the helm.

Bones grabbed a large canteen that he kept up there, pooped the cap, and down the contents in a few heavy gulps washing down his aspirin. He let out a loud belch.

"You did okay, Russo. I guess I take back whatever it was I've said about Italians in the past." He smirks as he says this. "Any trouble?"

"we ain'ta so bad once'a you get to know us eh?
" says Russo in a very thick and bad Italian accent he smirks and nods out the window
"thought  would have to go get you myself for a second, well we're here, just where you said, no problems 'scept I almost followed a coffee stain I mistook for a tributary a while back, aside from that it's clear sailing" taking in Bone's somewhat ruffled appearance he adds "you're looking Rosy this morning"

Bones rolls his bloodshot eyes. "Thanks." He squinted as he looked out the window, before settling his fedora upon his head.

"Alright, lets go girl." he said as he got the boat moving again. They turned in at the tributary, which wound it's way through steeper territory. The river banks were high and rocky. The jungle still did it's best to encroach down though, much of the cliff walls were covered in moss or vines or blanketed in ivy.

For once the morning was devoid of rainfall. The sky above was blue, but fringed with white clouds. Birds fly through the air and monkeys leaped from branch to branch and cried out from their on-high perches.

"About another hour at this rate, and we should be arriving at Machete Landing. Why don't you grab yourself a little shut-eye."
