California makes some decent wine. Supposedly, the state I'm from (Virginia) makes good wine, but I find Virginia wines to have a too pronounced bite for my tastes.

Tried some cidre in France last month. It's good, even though I don't normally like sour wines. Unrelatedly, made top 4 at Zendikar Game Day (MtG) today.  |

Last weekend, BimR ran a marathon and then came over to my house where I threw her a surprise party. She was exhausted but had fun. Overall it was a good day. This weekend, she returned the favor and threw a surprise party for me. Totally got me, and it was great.  |

Heh, 5k is quite different from a marathon, I suppose. Let me know if you ever intend to run a marathon though, we could have our training schedules mixed. After half a marathon in full combat gear that should be doable.
