I'm starting at the local University tomorrow. This is all kinds of nice, though somewhat nerve-wrecking.
Which one and what do you study?

I've still got a month and a half before I need to continue working my way towards the MA papers.

Högskolan i Gävle, in english know as The University of Gävle.

Socionom, which I don't know how to translate.

Social-something...
Social science perhaps?

Educates psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, abuse-victim-helpers, helpers for old and disabled people, etc.

Yhay, survived first day. 20 hours straight awake, I think I'm gonna crash now.

I may possibly be playing a D&D game of the type where all the players are in the same room.

The DM knows 3.0, I know 3.5, and a friend is coming who just picked up Pathfinder. Should be... interesting.

Thank you. Working as a chef has its advantages, such as getting to influence the DJ's choice of music

I'm back from Italy!

I had a fantastic time, and had over a dozen "firsts" on the trip.

The best part: the university is covering most of my expenses!

Still, my efficiency rate is at its peak when outside temperature is at -5 to -8 degrees Celsius. Sure, temperature here usually drops to -30 a few times each winter, but I prefer that to the 30 degrees we had this summer any day (I had to counter that by sneaking into the house foundation with a book)

I started working out two days ago.

My arms hurt like hell, but I guess this is why I was mostly a fat old geek to begin with

Also, as the old ninja sage once said: "There is no pleasure without pain."

Relax, the pain eases up after a while. Just make sure you don't overdo it.
