So that got me thinking: okay, so vampire female fans want to be fucked in the neck?
 It all makes sense now. You know, I'd be happy to fuck my ex in the neck.... And I and every woman I've made out with can attest that getting bitten in the neck does fucking hurt. It's just a good pain when the biter knows what the fuck they're doing. When are people going to realise it  ?! There is not a single vampire in the Twilight books, they have sparkly, meterosexual superheroes with eating disorders. A vampire is the ultimate perversion of nature, a creature of the night cursed to live on even in death, preying upon the living. The ... things in Twilight can be summed up with this and this (though they call them vampires, that is wrong on so many levels). Yeah, they're not vampires they are one of the following if you want to make them something: - Leech people
- Fey
- Incubi/Succubi
The sad thing is that she could have made them fey and aside from a little "no, the fair folk are not automatically three inches tall" disclaimer, the book could have mostly been the same. Fuck! She could have made Edward and Jacob Unseelie and Seelie respectively, and had about the same book. Leech People would be more horror oriented, and Incubi would have been a much more "forbidden love" angle. |

Our homeroom teacher got an advent calendar for the class. For those not in the know, it's basically a piece of cardcoard with a christmas design on it and 24 or 25 flaps numbered 1 through 24/25. Starting on December 1, children open one flap every day until christmas. There's versions with little pictures behind the flaps and others with chocolate. There's probably also calendars for adults with alcohol.  So, our teacher got us one with chocolate. What's so funny about this? Well... the first flap was situated right on Santa's crotch. So the student to open the first flap took candy out of Santa's pants. And the picture behind it was an upright candle. I'm undecided on whether this counts as Getting Crap Past The Radar, Refuge In Audacity, or simply an unfortunate blunder. (Again, note that the main customers are young children.) Yes, we're all immature. Interestingly, the teacher was the first to notice. |

The newest Bleach Manga (384) makes me lol. Heres the setup, Shinigami powered dead people battle dead people who died while dead and gained Hallow powers. Everyone is a white japense guy save for the Mexican and the blind black guy. Oh and Hallows are Mexicans btw. The Visored are the powers combined people with both Japanese & Mexican powers. 383 has the black guy comment on revealing his new super powers he got from a Japanese guy setting up the idea Mr Black Guy has Visored powers. Get ready for it... 384 has him don a plain white mask.  Wait, they don't stop the joke there. The other characters proceed in calling Mr NowWhiteGuy a traitor for selling out for more power. Damn funny. |

Well they (and me) are Americans and we're expected to be ignorant. Anyway, maybe the common conception is the common conception because it's right and you're just rebelling against it for personal reasons? Them being dressed in whtie has nothing to do with Spain or even Mexico at all. In Japan white is evil and black is good (well, the black part is a guess on my end). You took black wearing heroes fighting white wearing bad guys and got Spain out of the equation. It's expected you see a sash and think Spain too, it's not like Spain influenced Mexico enough they have sashes too. In fact you probably see the desert surrounding the Hallow Fort and think that equals the tropical forests of Spain rather than the several thousand square miles of desert-like terrain Mexico has. *shurgs* Yeah the day of the dead thing was a huge reason. Also Coyote Stark (espada #1) fitting the western gunslinger theme and since Spain kinda lacks coyotes (they have grey wolves, which is a different subspecies entirely) it leaves little room to argue otherwise. Grimmjaw also has that being a panther which is native to the Americas, Africa & Asia, but not Spain. I'm sure theres others too but theres no reasons to even look for them, it's not like you have listed any valid reason to claim they are from Spain. Hell you didn't even lead out with something like "Africa (has all the animals, biggest desert in the world) is closer to Spain than Mexico" or of the like and just jumped into assuming they are Spanish just because someone else said they were Mexicans. |

I have trouble understanding Mexican. I find Castillan much easier. And I have had short conversations with a girl I work with who speaks Argentinian (Although she laughs at my accent. And it seems that a 17 year old girl doesn't expect to be addressed in the Ud. conjugation, I threw her off when I started speaking what passes for Spanish for me). Cuban relaxes me to the point where I want to go to sleep, I'm not sure why that is.
I don't know anything about Portuguese, but the Spanish people I know say that it sounds like they SHOULD understand it, but don't. (I use "Spanish" to mean people who speak a dialect of Spanish, not specifically Spaniards)
I kind of feel like I should understand Dutch when I read and hear it, and it bothers me when I don't.
