After reading it many times, I just noticed the category names on TVTrope's Gratuitous Japanese page.

Quote
Komikkubukku=Comic Books
Fan no Fikushon=Fan Fiction
Riteracha~=Literature
Myu-jikku=Music
Teiberu Toppu Ge-mu Lagann=Table Top Games
Shiata~=Theatre
Bideoge-mu=Video Games
Uebu Komikku=Web Comics
Uebu Orijinaaru=Web Comics
Uesutaan Animeishon=Western Animation
Riaru Raifu=Real Life
Azaa=Other

I am so lost on this one.
It helps to have an understanding of the fact that many words are unique to english with no equivalent in other languages, so they get "[language]-ized"

edit: Not that none of these words have japanese equivalents, but it's the joke.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

I got an email inviting me to the DDR US Qualifiers...

The funny part is that Gameworks is hosting it.

I laughed when I read that.

Gameworks has TERRIBLE pads and they haven't kept their cabinets up like they should've. If, you know, a good arcade that actually took care of their shit was hosting this, I'd be in (even though I'd lose soooo fast).

But still... Gameworks. Lawlz.

Good luck DDR people. You're gonna need it.

If it helps any, the Japanese are also famous for not consistently spelling non-Japanese words (i.e. words they use katakana for). Though some of those could be translated...

Music- Ongaku
Western Animation- Nishi (kara) animeeshon?
Real Life- shinjinsei
Other- hoka ni
Literature- bungaku

Fan fiction shouldn't need "no", by the way. There's no way a Japanese could mistake fan fiction (as in fiction created by a fan) with fiction fan (a fictional fan, or worse, a ventilator made of/powered by fiction).

LOL That was very Han Solo-ish. He's a badass, so I'm cool with emulating him.

So Nintendo finally gave up on the Wii and got it into the bomb business. I expected this.

All firms that grow up large enough start producing staff that kills people. Not quite sure what's Microsoft doing, but maybe they are just shooting some orphans somewhere.

And don't mention Nokia.
