My only concern with numbering individual entries is that you'll have to get rid of the numbers at a new round, which will be a pain in the ass. It's a lot easier to just copy the last round and cut-and-paste the saved section to unsaved and call it good.
We're only doing the first 50 saved for round 1 to have a good number for future rounds. So that's why there's the number at the top. I'll get rid of it at the new round, along with the numbering that people have started to do.

I have no problem with the number of top. That's just a single line of text. My concern is having a number for each of the fifty entries in any given spoiler. That's fifty separate lines that you have to remove "#)" from before the monster name before copying the "saved" entries back to the "unsaved" section. You don't want to have last round's numbers in the unsaved section of the new round.

I agree. That's why I removed it the first time. And I encouraged not using it. But we see how that worked out.

Couldn't you just glean that same information from the number at top outside of the spoiler? It seems like more chance for error, if anything else.

You could glean the same information from the number at the top outside the spoiler. That's what makes it redundant. It's like showing your work: "How did we get to 43 so quickly? Oh, look, the beholder is #26. Oh wow, we really did get to 43 quickly!" ad nauseum
