One thing this character should not do is take sun devotion. Unless he enjoys sudden destruction when using the ability.

"Bask in my light you non-believers!" *activates Sun Devotion*

Followed by: "Ow God it burns, why did i do that!!!!"

Don't the clerics of Pelor normally pray at sunrise, in the open air?

I suggest bringing an umbrella then. Or finding some way to get a cloud of darkness to follow you.

A cleric of Pelor who shuns the sun....

Hey, the umbrella was developed by the Egyptians to shade themselves from the sun.  That's the reason for the "opening an umbrella indoors is bad luck" superstition.  And given that they had a sun god, it isn't that out of character.

Isn't there a umbrella weapon... in one of the unreachable east books?

I recall there is the Shikomi-zue, a sword hidden in a cane, in the Oriental Adventures books. Can't recall an umbrella weapon anywhere though.

Gendou Ikari is basically Gregory House in Kaminashades. This is FACT.

You know, what's displayed on the umbrella's outside isn't really visible when it's furled up.  Stick some permanent Symbols on it.

Just throwing an idea out here: Admiral's Bicorne for voice reach of 100', with the Vampire Lord template to make the Dominate ability not need line of sight, just vocal range?
