Zeke & Cedric
Zeke brings the horse to a stop just before it was going to trample the figure lying in your path.

Sean (and anyone watching)
Your ears pick up the noise of the collapsing building and you're already jumping back as it comes down in a burning heap right where you were standing half a second before.  What was once a lively saloon, filled with whores, faro and poker tables, a ragtime piano, and whiskey is now little more than an over-sized campfire.  Standing casually on top of the pile, as if he had ridden the roof down during its collapse, stands the wickedly grinning face.  His clothes are smoking from the heat, but he doesn't seem bothered by the flames at all.

"Cedric-- would you take a look? If that is Jackson he'll need our help, if that is that creature, then I'm READY for him." I hold the horse's reigns in one hand while I draw a bead on the body with the sights of my Colt Thunderer. "I got you covered. If that turns out to be that beast, and he moves against ya, I'll put a hole in his infernal hide."

AP: 5, for a total of 17.

"Why you damn dirty son of a whore..." Frank snarls as he turns around at the sound of the collapsing building and notices the Jack on top of the pile of burning rubble.

Cedric grunts in reply and swings off of the horse down to the ground. He quickly shuffles over to the body and, without moving the body more than he has to, attempts to see who it is... and whether or not they are still breathing.

Cedric
Nudging the body with your foot, you see a battered, bruised, dust-covered Ulysses Jackson.  His face is covered with horrible scratches, but he does appear to be alive.

Hooray, more terrible rolls!

The doctor's head snaps around at the sound of the collapsing building. As sparks fly high into the air, Jack is revealed on the wreckage, and the astonished Bones appears at a loss for words--but only momentarily.

"Inside the building? Ohh, you clever fuck," he says, spitting off to one side with distaste.

And yes, I did check this. Evidently, the word has been found in court martial records of the American Civil War, so it's not unreasonable to assume a man of many oaths (as Bones is) would know it.

"Preacher, it's Jackson. He's messed up pretty bad," Cedric grits his teeth as he looks down the trail, then back to the injured man. "Know anything about medicine? All I know is that I'm just as likely to hurt as help him if anything's broken."

Treat Injury to get a rough idea how bad things are, anyway: 1d20+2=20

... You know, it figures I'd roll well on a check that doesn't help anyone much. >_>

I slid off my horse, holding the reigns still. "Is he conscious? We need to get him up on this horse, and get him back to the Doc as quick as lightning." I stared off into the night, in the direction the other horse continued on into oblivion. Was the creature dangling from his neck, dead, dragging behind Jackson's horse? I prayed to God it was.

Cedric
You look over Jackson's battered body.  He's unconscious, but it appears that most, if not all of his wounds are superficial.  You're pretty sure he's not going to die.

Sean, Frank & Bones
Initiative order (you don't have to post in order, just post when you're on and only once per round):
Jack 18
Frank 17 (ouch!)
Sean 14
Bones 6

The fiend's eyes reflect the flickering firelight, giving him an even more sinister visage.  He grins at Sean, then rushes straight towards him.  At the last moment, instead of striking, he leaps up over Sean and comes down right on top of Bones.  His claws slash four red stripes across the doctor's cheek.

"Doesn't seem like he's awake," Cedric replies before speaking to Jackson - hoping that speaking his intentions might stop the hunter from exacting revenge on him and Zeke for the not-so-thought-out plan, "Hey, if you can hear me, we're taking you back to the doctor. I dunno how bad this is, but I reckon he'll do better than I can to help you."
Provided he doesn't break out in violent protest...
He then hefts Jackson over his shoulder as gently as possible and walks toward Zeke and the horse.
Corrected dialogue so it'd make sense. >_<

Sean yells out "I'm the one you want, stop playing with me!  I'm going to kill you for what you've done!"  He then brings his rifle up and shoots the demon.

Hit: 21
Damage: 12

Gah, forgot Point Blank Shot so added one to both rolls.

Bones yelps and ducks as Sean and Frank both fire at Jack. "Watch it, will you?" He staggers back, blood running down his cheek, and levels his own revolver at the grinning face, squeezing the trigger with an oath.

Taking a 5-foot step backwards first:
Attack roll, damage roll (1d20+4=7, 2d6=8)

Eh, what can I say?

I get down off the horse and meet Cedric about halfway to share duties carrying Jackson. "You weren't supposed to hang on for the ride." I said to the unconscious Jackson. "Well, looks like my plan worked halfway, and this fella here should recover. You reckon that other bugger is still dragging along the ground by his throat?" I assisted getting Jackson up into the saddle.

Sean, Bones & Frank
Frank's shot goes wide, easily missing both the Jack and Bones, then Sean's rifle bullet hits the Jack square between the shoulders.  Bones takes the opportunity to capitalize on the distraction and takes a step back before firing at the Jack and somehow missing.

The Jack wheels about and faces Sean, a sadistic grin plastered onto his face.  "Kill me, hey?  How do you reckon you'll do that, boy?"

He takes a few steps towards Sean and takes a deep breath before unleashing a gout of fire from his mouth.

Reflex Save for Sean!

Zeke & Cedric
With Jackson draped over the horse like a captured bounty, there's only enough room for one of you to ride.  One of you will have to walk.

The flames catch you directly in the face and upper body!  The heat is almost unbearable, and for a moment, you think you might pass out, but you manage to stay on your feet.

Please make a second save to avoid catching on fire.
