Narrators are supposed to be faceless, though... Also, bump. I guess.

When you guys have your characters all done up, link me to 'em and I'll get the main thread started.
I'll be away for the third week in July, going to Bali, otherwise, I'm about ready to go!

Is nice I'll get to work on my equipment list then. About that special ammo, is there any I can craft myself? If so, what tools do I need, how much do they cost and what's the Craft DC? EDIT: What do you mean by 'metal cartridges'? I know next to nothing about guns IRL

I'd prefer that you start without it. You'll need the materials and a blacksmith shop at the very least to make something like silver bullets. Besides, if your character has faced more than one type of shadow creature, he'd know that silver only works on a few types.

Aye, just trying to be prepared/paranoid But it's your call EDIT: Anywho, mind giving me that info for future use? Even if I start without it, I'd like to know how many ranks I need to put in Craft skills in case we need this stuff in the future. I was going with a kind of Batman prepared character

I don't think it'd be too difficult, but I have to figure out the DCs and prices and what not... I'll let you know before the game starts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartridge_(firearms)#HistoryThis will give you more indepth info, but... Older firearms (mostly before 1860) used black powder poured into the barrel and a ball pressed into place afterwards (black powder guns). After that, special paper was used to make a "bullet" by bundling everything together in what was called a Paper Cartridge. The guns used in the movie The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly were mostly Colt 1851 Navy pistols, which were modified to use paper cartridges (instead of the black powder). Later on, metal casings were used, much like today's bullets. Also, for your character: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartridge_(firearms)#Reloading

Yep. The one advantage of using an older weapon like a muzzle-loader is that if you wanted to use a special type of ammo such as silver, you'd just need to shape it and that's it.

Going by the stats in the book, your Winchester '73 should have a Range Increment of 70, and a magazine capacity of 17, not 15.
Your shotgun (the closest one in this book is the Winchester Lever-Action is a 10 gauge that does 2d10, has a range of 30 and a 5 round internal magazine.
Your base saves should be 1/2/1, and your talent should be Evasion, not Uncanny Dodge, right?
