It's my understanding that the Mediterranean people mix quite a bit, though I think it's the first time I've met a Greek online.
You may say that we mix quite a bit but a lot of mixes are depended in history. Most Greek islands were under Italian rule until 1912 so it's not uncommon to see people with Greek and Italian heritage. PS: Dictum Mortuum is Greek as well so I guess that I'm not the first after all That was a fact I wasn't really aware of. Wait, 1912... that's within the World War I period, isn't it?

As Bowen said 1912 is before the WWI period. 1912 was the year that a large number of Greek islands joined the rest of Greece.

Too far away from Tornio and Haaparanta for me then. Too bad, I'd love to visit you.
And Stockholm area is pretty cool. Been up and down around it due to having loads of relatives in Stockholm and Södertälje. And yes, I know their hockey team sucks.

LALALALALA Not listening *put my hand to my ears* I am from Södertälje you see and I have fought for ages against all the traitors that cheer for the bigger teams that are from different cities. Even if hockey is no big passion of mine I still believe in rooting for the guys that fight in your home-towns colours. Should you however come to Södertälje during summer, Easter or perhaps Christmas I am free to visit since I have those holidays off and use them to visit my family.

Currently my cousins live in Stockholm and they are the more likely ones to be victims of my visits. However, if I'll get around Södertälje, I'll tell.
