Best I've ever seen is just a labeled grid with letters on one side and numbers on the other. Buildings/spell effects/characters can just be colored (maybe labeled with a single character or two) circles or squares. And then explained in the post under the map. You could do it using paint theoretically, but I don't have the energy to make a full empty grid in paint to begin with. Something like this: here |

Hey James, any problem with me sticking arrows in all the other compartments of the Efficient Quiver? I can bundle them to be shaped like javelins, bows, etc, if it matters... I plan on carrying about 240 arrows... I can say he only has immediate access to the 60 in the "arrow" compartment. He'd have to stop and unbundle any of the others to get to them. Ok? |

It's the "in" thing.  I didn't know Githzerai were supposed to be reptilian till I started digging around a bit online to learn more about them. Seeing that map brings back memories of being ganked by mobs of wizards whenever stupid Imoen was set to automatically cast spells... |

Please, first thing I did was take my group out to the Temple, Cast stinking cloud/Cloudkill invisibility run out of the cloud.
Cowled Wizards show up, get cloudkilled, don't know where I am, and just sit in the cloud dieing.
repeat until no more cowled wizards show up when you cast spells.

So, I'm going to wait a while to give people a chance to post in the game thread, just b/c I don't want to go ape-shit on y'all when there's only 2 actives (I'll need to rethink things a bit, but it is still doable)...
I'm guessing that since the spring semester ended recently across the country that people are still on vacay mode, and I'm comfortable waiting a bit.

Thanks. Mans0011 is planning to post his character tonight and get in on the action. He PMed me earlier. haha, yeah, about that. I was at work, was just sitting down at my comp to finish my character when I had to run an errand. As I was finishing that errand, I accidentally hit myself in the face (eyebrow, specifically) and busted it wide open. Blood everywhere, lol. Since it happened at work, my boss made me fill out paperwork and go to the emergency room. Yes, really. So the doctor cleaned it and smashed some glue in it and I'm fine, but lost a good 2 hours of working on this character. And it's not even like there's a lot to do other than put the shit on "paper". So, now it's night time and I'm at the girl's house. I'll slink off somewhere early tomorrow with my lap top and get it done and posted and post in the No good deads thread. BTW... is that supposed to be deads or deeds? |

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. As for my excuse (hah), its been a crazy week. Got back from visiting my dying grandma, had to go immediately to class, got in a car wreck on my way to class (no one got hurt, just cars). That made me have to reschedule my clinic hours for the week, making my school week crazy...Also, before I left on the trip, the screen to my laptop got smashed - my only computer. This last weekend was my first off in over a month, and I had a good friend visiting town, so I decided to just chill out and spend my time in the woods with my friend and gardening with the lady.
...Sorry for all that bullshit, but I have my character all done. Should be able to post in the morning.
