I give you random builds I've made over the years. I'm porting this over from 339 and will edit and change things around and add some newer ones later. I think this means I'm officially done with 339 since my account seems to have disappeared. All builds assume NO LA BUYOFF. The Frozen BrawlerOne of my favorite babies. A raging monk without those pesky alignment changes. It could probably be at least a little more optimized, but it is a good build if I may say so. Analysis The Werebadger LordI love lycanthropes, what can I say? And a double raging barbarian was just too good of an idea for me to pass up. Plus, badgers are my favorite animals. And thus was born the Werebadger Lord. Dwarf Werebadger Lord (natural, +3 LA and 3 animal hit dice) Barbarian 1/ Fighter 1/ Warshaper 2/Battlerager 5/ Deepwarden 2/ Fist of the Forest 3 Alignment: non-lawful Variants: Lion-Totem Barbarian (Complete Champion)
1 ) Barbarian - Power Attack 2-4 ) Werebadger Lord- Iron Will (b), Track(b), Great Fortitude, Endurance 5 ) Fighter - Cleave 6 ) Warshaper - Reckless Rage 7 ) Warshaper 8 ) Battlerager 9 ) Battlerager - Close Quarters Fighting(b), Steadfast Determination 10 ) Battlerager - Improved Unarmed Strike(b) 11 ) Fist of the Forest 12 ) Deepwarden - Track(b) [retrain to Snap Kick], Multiattack 13 ) Deepwarden 14 ) Battlerager - Reckless Offensive(b), Great Cleave(b), Improved Natural Attack (bite) 15 ) Battlerager - Improved Multiattack 16 ) Fist of the Forest 17 ) Fist of the Forest
Lycanthrope template says animal HD are never first HD.
Minimum Int is 14 for skill prereqs.
Items: Monks Belt, Amulet Mighty Fists
Other feats of interest: Leap Attack, Shock Trooper (requires Imp. Bull Rush)
Analysis Lycanthropy LightFor those who want to turn into an animal and have double rage without all those pesky animal HD and LA. Analysis The ForgerA theme build that I created, not meant to be and/or replace an artificer in any way. Analysis Crafting in and of itself is not the main point of the build, though if the Secrets of the Forge abilities stack, at level twenty your effective level for crafting magic arms and armor is 42. Even if they don't, it's thirty from Ironsoul Forgemaster alone. How's that for epic ready?
The point is the bonuses that you get when using items that you crafted. Using a warhammer, a shield, and some armor, all crafted by you, you get: - wis to damage - +2 sacred bonus to AC - 5 points of energy resistance to acid, cold, electricity, fire, and sonic per point of essentia invested in your shield - damage resists n/- where n is the number if essentia invested in your armor, stacks with other DR from your armor - insight bonus equal to twice the essentia invested in your weapon to damage with the ability to stun on a failed save(second part isn't great I'll admit)
You also have an effective incarnate meldshaper level of 15, which isn't too shabby in and of itself. BAB of 14, saves are 16/6/13
Master of FrostThe finalized version of the Master of Frost build, underwent many iterations on 339. The ultimate in cold spells. Analysis The DragonFinally, a use for Dragon Disciple! Analysis The SoulbowThis build makes me love soulknives. Analysis Feel free to discuss and analyze at your leisure.

Is it possible to stack Frenzied Berserker onto the double rage build for triple rage?

Nanshork, I heartily recommend using the Versatile Spellcaster trick for early entry into whatever PrC has the lowest casting requirements.
That, and Versatile Spellcaster rocks.

Yes, Frenzy says that it stacks with other rage benefits. That....would be very interesting actually. I'll look into it.

Early Entry < Feat Starvation. Versatility > Intensity. Wouldn't give me early entry anyway, both PrCs require 8 ranks in skills.

Though that would require an additional feat for Improved Binding... Mindbender, perhaps? Rainbow Servant could be a choice for a couple of levels (it requires level 3 spells. With Versatile Spellcasting, you're there by level 3.)

@Soulbow: swap a Fighter level for a level of Passive Way monk. Free combat expertise, no need for 13+ int. More Wisdom.

But then I lose a point of BAB and thus that last iterative attack which ends up being two with splitting. I keep going back and forth on this.

Most of this is thematic and playable for low-optimization campaigns. If this is what your aiming for, good job.
By the way what do you mean by 'animal HD are never first HD.'

An interesting read, nice to see a civil discussion The point of Spell Resistance is to make it harder to get buffed. And healed. Don't forget that. Huge amounts of people are fuckwits. That doesn't mean that fuckwit is a valid lifestyle. Old Geezer's Law of Hobby Taste: The more objectively inconsequential a hobby is, the more disagreements within the community will be expressed in outrageously insulting, overblown, and ludicrously emotionally laden terms. More Funny than HumbleYour a shifter... you have all you ever need. It blows MoMF out of the water But if your greedy for more [ Wish] for something that only effects you, like another class level or two that doesn't count against your ECL. Yes, I'm the 3.0 "Masters of the Wild" shifter, the awesome kind. My favorite form to take is Force Dragon. Yes, I am immortal ... My character is hands down the coolest guy in the campaign and there is nothing I could possibly want. PBMC gets a cookie for DotA r

I make builds that I would actually be able to play in a campaign, I don't do theoretical or high-powered. Some builds are more optomized than others. I mean that the animal HD are never the first HD of a lycanthropy, you have to take a class level first. It's part of the Lycanthropy rules. I've gotten into arguments with people about it so that's why the note is there.

I'm seeing a potential problem with the frostrager build. Wouldn't, by RAW, the character's unarmed damage actually decrease in a frostrage? Frostrage says "[the Frost rager's] unarmed attacks deal 1dX damage, plus 1dX cold damage". Nowhere does it mention that this change stacks with, or is even overridden by, a higher base US base damage. Unless, naturally, I'm blind, which I find unlikely.
