I have a conjurer wizard who at the end of last weeks session played with an item that changed his race. the dm changed one of the random races to "player choice" so i am now looking for a humanoid races with la of +1 or less (racial hd don't matter and i don't get the la since i was already a la race which i bought off)

Any suggestions for good humanoid races for a wizard when having racial hit dice is not a problem?

Books allowed?  Cheese tolerance?  Previous race?  Definition of "humanoid"?  Do you mean it's got to have the Humanoid type, or that it needs to look basically like a human-type creature?

books allowed are any that i either own (most) or have the pdf for (even more) cheese tolerance has been pretty much left to me (he feels bad that another party member randomly killed me in my sleep) i've had several races due to being reincarnated more then once. my original race was human and i've managed to keep my bonus feat due to it being ruled as a mental ability and kept during reincarnation. I need the humanoid type, but subtypes are fine.

Find something with wings. Alternatively, find something with an Int bonus (Or does the item function identically to a reincarnation, minus the part about being dead?)

i get all the new stats (including mental)
i won't be aging after this during this campaign so dragonwrought won't do much good, especially since I'm already above first level so i can't take it

As you'll be under the effect of a spell like reincarnation, you can easily take dragonwrought for free, because it's natural for this body to have... and the wings are there primarily for the +10 to jump checks.

Can it be a race with templates? That would open up your options significantly, though perhaps that starts to get cheesy. Since racial hd don't matter, I would just pick something with the largest racial hd I could find and be a slightly beefier wizard (and possibly qualify for PrCs earlier since you should still get skill points from those hd). Bugbear is the best I can think of off the top of my head.

i don't get the hd, so i get the above average stats and abilities without the racial hd balancing it out

also, i'm only permitted a la of +1, but templates should be fine as long as the la doesn't go above +1

kobold is no good because it is a game in progress, i can not just sit around waiting to get old while the game is going, La +3 templates will not work because, last time i checked, 3 was greater then 1
dragonborn is all well and good stat wise, but the rp is pretty restrictive for games that include rp, as all of mine always have

point, as it is a resrection esck spell you can come back at any age catagory

You're only doing it for the free +1 in the mental stats it'll give, then you can loss it if you want.

Ah, forgot to mention the warforged had enlarge person cast on him before incarnate construct.

Even so, a phrenic incarnate construct warforged is still quite tasty.

Why do you need the Humanoid type?
