Alright, bringing this up because it affects everyone with me being the DM. I'm going to be on vacation, without internet access, for about 3+ weeks, starting in June (about the 15th), and then on and off until the end of August, when I go away to business school (which then presents its own time issues). Obviously, this is going to have a large impact on the campaign world, and the campaigns themselves, because I won't be around to DM. I will come back and continue to DM in those periods when I do have internet access, but that may slow the campaigns too much for some players. I'll be DMing at the normal pace (or an increased one, if possible), for the campaigns until I do pause.

There is, of course, the matter of what to do when I am not around. Some choices are presented below, and I'll add more as I think of them.

Options for the dead time:
  • Bring in another DM: Have someone else take over much of the storyline and day to day business, with me handing over as much story as possible. This increases railroading, however.
  • Inter-Party Conflict: Having you guys fight between the groups, if interested.
  • Next Option

The second option sounds fun.

"Just what do you think the moon up in the sky is? Everyone sees that big, round shiny thing and thinks there must be something round up there, right? That's just silly. The truth is much more awesome than that. You can almost never see the real Moon, and its appearance is death to humans. You can only see the Moon when it's reflected in things. And the things it reflects in, like water or glass, can all be broken, right? Since the moon you see in the sky is just being reflected in the heavens, if you tear open the heavens it's easy to break it~"

Well, I suggested #2 last time. Still need a DM for that though.

Well, if you'd like to begin setting up the arena for a period starting in June, sure Smile.

Might as well get everything in place while we continue to DM. I'll probably try and finish up the current situations so there is a nice pause point for people to take a break.

The idea is to finish the assault by then, if possible.
