I'll get some more character ideas up later this week, working out the stats helps me get a better idea about what I eventually want to go with for my final character  Any final decision on the TM thing yet? Personally I rather like starting out as a 'normal' bot and implementing the Transmetal thing as storybased reward and/or plot element  Also, Pokemon can work quite nicely, I'll have to look into that

Firstly, I would like to begin by saying Bah Weep Gran Nah Weep Nini Bong. Also I'd really love to throw my hat in as player four. I love/d beast wars and am familiar with the storyteller system. I like the maximal Idea but am fine going pred as well. I have three concepts that I'll put past that i think fit the mold to varying degree. Concept 1: A Phoenix. Honestly, Mostly a big Red bird in beast mode with flame abilities in Robot. Female, close range combat (i'm thinking flaming feather whip plus wrist flame thrower) with dots in repair and maybe security. Personality is nebulous right now. Name: ? Concept 2: A kraken. No real adjustment. Male, with part of the tentacles becoming dreadlocks. He's got a jamaican accept. Mix range/melee style of fighter (Shoot out grappling tentacles with either a pistol or shoulder cannons [god i love shoulder cannons]) Very high matrix and politics and animal ken. Probably high stealth as well. More comedic personality "No, I've seen this holo, the black bot dies first." Name: Dread Hydro? Concept 3: A Giraffe/Tricerotops Fuzor. Since Fuzor is only 1 point in generation, i'm not sure if it'll be okay or not. Male, Mix Range/mell style (Super punch giraffe neck arm and a pistol.) High Intimidate, athletics and primal urge, no animal ken. Maximal protoform, but has been tainted with Predacon programming (thus the Warm/Cold Fuzor) and has to fight his predacon urges via meditation and calm. Name: Redneck? Three hole punch?
This is what i've got so far and am reading up on the beast wars rules. Is any of this even remotely acceptable?

So you're going with a stealth/infiltrator role? Looks nice, it was kinda my favorite of the three ideas you posted earlier  EDIT: If so, I'll scratch the Lizard and Ptero-bots from my first post as options  EDIT 2: Somehow your bot is reminding me of Kit Fisto

So, looks like Exileman is going with stealth/infiltration, I'll probably end up with a combat-bot of sorts, either melee (bear, feline or raptor) or ranged (bird, bat or pterosaur), with some secondary in repair/mechanics or scouting (and more dots in that once I get some xp)...
Do the rest of you guys have any (semi-)solid ideas yet?

I still haven't had the time to really delve into the system mechanics yet, though it sounds like if we've got the brute and the sneak, we need someone with the brains, or speed (or both?). Not that your bots would be dumb, but someone more dedicated to knowledge. Maybe I can find a way to make my speed-reader.  Originally, if we hadn't decided on monstrous animals, I was going to base my 'historian' or tactician or whatever on an owl, so if I can find a creature that fits that sort of niche, I think that will help a great deal.

Besides, a flyer would be useful.
I do have a question for those who have delved into the system a little. It talks about energon poisoning, in regard to raw energon. It says that it is caused due to prolonged exposure. How long does this take? I can't find it. Also, are energon shields essentially required for survival?
