I can't find it either. I believe energon shielding is only necessary for prolonged direct exposure (such as carrying an energon sword or walking through an energon field in bot-mode)...

After watching that video, my guy is A LOT like kit fisto.  Id feel bad but I never watch clone wars (nothing wrong with it, just no time) so I don't feel like I've ripped him off.
Consider it an homage Big Grin

So, I've been looking over the system, and it has everything from the show.  But it doens't branch out very much.  Are there any thematically appropriate devices, mechanisms, or weapons you guys would like to see?  Personally, I'd like to see a sniper rifle.

Not sure about things I'm missing in the system at the moment...

As for the Sniper Rifle, you could reflavor the Cutlass Blaster...

ok, hadn't noticed there were new posts here recently. Cephalock looks good, welcome aboard Exileman.

I've had another idea for a campaign recently, how would you guys feel about just doing a near-future earth? Might make beast forms easier, and a kraken/giant squid can still work.

I'm fine with changing the concept to near future earth.  I might change my beast mode just cause aquatic IS gonna be limiting, but i really want dreadlocks and i can't think of another creature/animal that fits with locks.

you should be fine in robot mode, I don't think I'm going to make energon poisoning a huge problem. really the main issue your beast mode would have on land is movement, and maybe a fuzor could fix that.

A squid-bat fuzor could be truly frightening

I'm thinking something owl-like is the best for the 'wise hunter' niche, but it would have some trouble fitting into any sort of urban setting. Not that a bear or kraken would fit any easier. Big Grin

If i were a Bat/Kraken fuzor i'd serriously have to change my name to cthulock.  And if an owl, a bear, and a kraken have trouble living in a city, we can always take the tranformers animated approach and immediately become super heros Big Grin

I'd prefer to keep it a bit more to the original BW, you know, no humans/civilizations (yet).

Somehow I don't think BW bots would work in a modern civilization, Autobots and Decepticons fit in way better there...

erm, don't worry, there wont be much modern urban living left... there'll be some wtf, and "holy shit run!" but no one's going to look twice at the bat-squid hybrid... they'll be more occupied with the robot form...

when I say "near-future" i mean about nine years in the future... people are free to make guesses at what I mean, but I will neither confirm nor deny anything until it happens in game, though I'd be very entertained by guesses pm'd to me.

it was done pretty well, I actually didn't find it that entertaining though... there are much better ways to combine transformers and terminators.

the thought hadn't even entered my mind, until just now.

Don't worry, skynet will not be infecting unicron.

It could be much worse.

I Also just watched the video.  Which claims to do to My Little Pony what Michael Bay did for transformers.  I say they included far to many actual little pony's for this to be true.  Michael bay's mix was around 70% human love story, 15% "THese guys are supposed to be GIJOES, and the rest that was leftover was "Yeah, Okay, I guess there should be some robots in there".
