Heavy Flail, of course!
Well, I'm not sure if I will go Awesome Smite, it was just an idea, because I can trip with Heavy Flail, so I figured why not... That's why I'm asking here, which combat feats should I take?

If you can get a speed boosting item and the Tooth of Savvnok (ToM), you could go charging smite route. In that case, it might be a good idea to pick up shock trooper too. Awesome smite lets you trip regardless of weapon, so combine the two to push them away, trip them, and dump your AC so you're guaranteed to hit...

When using Heedless Charge maneuvers, when I take a penalty using power attack, do I get bonuses on AC and on damage, or only on AC? Level 4 Assay Resistance - CA I'm not sure whether persisting this spell is a good idea, since that +10 bonus applies to only one specific creature.

Reread Heedless Charge. Instead of taking the Power attack penalty to your attack bonus, you take it to your AC. otherwise, it functions just like Power attack.

My DM (curse his oily hide) just banned Bone Knight from his campaign, just because they're from Eberron. Even though I wouldn't summon undead or ride that stupid mount, I just wanted the uber cool armor, but noooooo. So, now what? Any suggestions? Full spellcasting, preferably, melee oriented, but anything cheesy goes, if they're not setting specific. I was trying to be nice, but now I'm thinking about taking Persist Spell. And I know I'm a bit late to adress this post, but I just saw it... You can take domains without worshipping specific gods. It is in the PHB. You basically worship an ideal and so can pick anything you want. That works only if you're not devoted to a particular deity, unfortunately. Yeah, I'd like Beast domain for my Cleric, but it doesn't work that way...

10 levels of Divine Oracle? Immunity to surprise is sexy. You could go 6 levels of contemplative for more domains and then ~5 levels of something else. If you really want something cheesy... Dweomerkeeper - Check the Complete Divine Web Enhancement.

Yes, I'll think about Divine Oracle, nice class. Saddly, not melee oriented. :/ I'm actually surprised at the lack of melee cleric classes. Is Dread Witch worth it? It's kinda fluffy, but isn't fear kinda useless later on?

That thing of worshipping an ideal, man, i effin hate it! My players constantly have no god so they can cherry pick their favourite domains. Which is bad, 99% of the time unflavoured and something along the lines of "AMG SHAZAM I R CAPTN MARELV!"!"!"!"
Personally, i am more than ok with adding a domain to a god's available domains than letting a character worship an "ideal".

Well, nothing's stopping you from saying 'you must have a god'. I generally dislike taking nonflavored stuff to get cheesy... But Fury domain is kinda nice, it goes with Hextor, so I made my DM let me use it. But, still can't find the right prestige class. :/

They seem to be working for me, now. Anyone else having a problem with them?

But Fury domain is kinda nice
I first read that as the "Furry domain", and I thought... oh god, get your Furries out of my D&D!

Maybe already mentioned, but worth some attention. A Wererabbit/hare/dog/cat/... Aasimar/Neraphim/something with the Otherwordly feat and Domain Spontaneity. (sp?) This gives you access to the Transformation Domain (since you're a shapeshifter), and with your Outsider type, you can start abusing Polymorph, which you got from the Transformation Domain. Add some Ordained Champion and top it off with Animal Devotion for Ape's Fury for up to +8 sacred STR. The LA can hurt ( up to +2), but you're a melee Cleric and LA can probably be bought off. If not, all the more reason to be a were-small innocent creature to keep LA down.

Don't Changelings have the subtype as well? Maybe Shifters too, not too sure on that one... (a friend currently has my ECS)
Also, I believe there was a way to pick up the shapeshifter subtype if you travel to a certain plane, I believe it was mentioned in the old King of Smack thread over on 339 or one of the similar threads...
EDIT: the name Karasuthra comes to mind, not entirely sure though...

The problem with were-outsiders, Gawain is that, RaW, they're not legal. You have to be humanoid or giant to grab lycanthropy. However, you can still take inherited lycanthropy (LA+3 + racial HD) and Otherworldly. If that's up your boat, it's possible. Another alternative, if your DM allows it is to take Otherworldly as a changeling. Cuts off any LA. Barring that, a technical way to do it is to grab the Human Heritage feat from RoD and then Otherworldly. You'd need flaws of course, but those are the ways I've figured for it to work.

Fixed that for you. You were talking about Changelings after all.

the most effective optimization is the one you can actually get away with. (A group of nerds are called a murder because like crows we are anti-social, like shiny things, and often squack at each other over nothing for hours) I often have to remind people not to underrate divination. The ability to effectively metagame without actually metagaming beats the ability to set things on fire more times than not.

No, I seriously remember a plane or a part of a plane named Karasuthra or something eerily similar. I know it exists, I just can't remember the source since I lost my original 'King of Smack'-variant build... EDIT: Found it The Were Glade, located in Karasuthra, third layer of the Beastlands. Check your Planar Handbook, page 164, for the details
