Developing a relaxed attitude to danger.

"Ah, men of action? Good, I admire such a quality, it indicates a lack of hesitation. As you may or may not know, House Kundarak has recently had an item stolen from one of their high-grade security vaults. This item was deposited there by the Morgrave University, and is believed to be a relic of quori or kalashtar origins. One of the University's archaeologists discovered it in an area where it was clearly an anachronism--planar jetsam, if you will. The point of this history is to indicate the importance of the artifact--it represents the first instance of planar travel between Dal Quor and Eberron since the plane was thrown off its orbit.

Any agents that could break into a vault of Kundarak's are likely to be quite formidable. House Sivis has not currently developed any leads on their identities, but I find the possibility of Riedran influence most likely. As you may have surmised, your job involves tracking down these agents and retrieving the relic, but that is not an inclusive description.

Morgrave's staff are, ah...less than scrupulous about matters concerning valuable items, nor are they likely to investigate it beyond its worth in platinum. In addition, House Kundarak have become more and more difficult to deal directly with. Thus, your involvement. The second part of your assignment is to return the artifact to Kundarak, then, once it is secure in the Mror Holds once more, steal it as stealthily as you can manage and deliver it to myself or a designated agent of House Sivis, who will be bearing my personal seal.

In exchange for this...unconventional service, you will be paid thrice over. Morgrave has placed a reward on the return of the artifact, House Kundarak pays handsomely for the return of items stolen from their care, and of course the Doyenne will not be ungrateful. You may ask questions now."

Thieves are scum. Worse than honourable enemies. The Dwarves are honourable and will be glad to have us assist them return the item. The University learns and is good. House Sivis is good Gnomes. They are mild. Gnomes assisted me in Zilrago, they are friendly to Breland. Sharn is in Breland. A thief in Sharn is Sharn's enemy.

I will assist the Gnomes after I have assisted the University and assisted the Dwarves. Where do I begin? Will the soldier and agents help me?

This is a job for the greater good. Rewards, beyond expenses is irrelevant. Let us depend on the hospitality of the patrons to decide what our rewards will be.

"Four hundred platinum each. Don't try to abuse our friendly relationships by haggling as though this were a Goblin market, either. It's more than a fair price, and you'll be receiving bonuses from Kundarak and Morgrave."

This good Gnome here has been telling us that there is a stolen good. The Morgrave jetsam. We need it to bring back to House Kundarks vaults, then go to Morgrave-U and tell them, then tell House Sivis Gnome folk. They are helpful. Another fellow for the retrieval?
