Lys effortlessly slips through the crowd, completely unnoticed by the elf, whose attention is focused on Krim, Lucilius, and Christian.

Lucilius, attempting to subdue the elf before trouble can begin, draws his sword. The rasp of metal startles the elf, who whirls to face him and grips part of the metal tube tightly. The tube gives off a loud explosive sound, and a cloud of green smoke pours over Krim, Lucilius, and Christian. Nevitash, Lys, and Anderan cannot see through the bank of dense smoke, which the crowd scatters away from.

Roll for initiative, everyone. (Yes, even you, Jose.) I also need Fortitude saves from Krim and Jose. Ari, you're fine, but the cloud still blocks your vision.

Christian takes his time to assess the situation, to determine who was in the right and who was in the wrong.

1d20+2=21
Initiative Order:
Elf: 21
Lucilius: 18
Krim: 10
Lys: 7
Nevitash: 7
Christian: -5

Krim and Lucilius nearly gag on the nauseating stench surrounding them, but manage to fight it off. Outside the thick cloud, the elf takes a few steps backwards and triggers the tube again. The runes flash a brilliant blue, and when the light fades to a tolerable level, the elf has vanished.

Krim sighed and shook his head, holding his staff at the ready. "No, no. People like this don't give up that easily. You're not a very smart fighter, are you?"

Lys draws her crossbow and mutters something uninteligable, vanishing as well.

Nevitash nods his agreement to Krim, and manifests the power of True Seeing, Psionic.

STOP! You've violated the law. Releasing noxious gas in public without a license is a misdemeanor. Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence.... He seems to have disappeared

Christian forms his mindblade, moves  adjacent to a buildings wall, readies himself and assumes a total defensive stance/fighting defensively  (+4/+2 def) for the round. He tries to spot tell tale signs of invisibility (puddle splashes, mysterious breezes etc)

As the elf vanishes, Lys follows suit, pulling out a crossbow as she does. The crowd, already alarmed, scatters further at the glowing mind blade that appears within the noxious cloud. Though Christian has moved to the nearest building, he is unable to see any further signs of the elf--particularly through the cloud of fog. Nevitash, standing well outside the cloud, closes his eyes for a moment, and opens them to see the elf standing about twenty feet in front of Lys. The elf, seeing that Krim has not emerged from the cloud, steps forward and walks quickly to the nearest edge.

Another Fortitude save from Krim and Jose. In addition, your line of sight (along with Ari's) is blocked by the cloud.

Quick note here: Only Shamed can see the elf right now.

Lucilius gags at the stench of the cloud, and bends over, retching. Krim manages to resist the urge to vomit and maintains his composure.

Krim, you're fine for another round. Jose, you're nauseated and can only take a single move action this round (and until the condition wears off, 1d4+1 rounds after you leave the cloud).

Krim made his way out of cloud, continuing to hold his staff at the ready for any attacks.
