"Either way I'm needed, I can go. I'm the guy who ordered the equipment, so the Nazi's wont suspect me picking up a load of stuff; I think I made a decent impression on one as well. I'm ready to go, and I agree, we shouldn't spend any more time in the town than we absolutely have to." Taking a huge drag on the cigarette, holding it in, then slowly breathing it out, he props it in his lips and speaks without it falling out. With that, he moves towards the door, looking out and waiting for John to leave.

John quickly follows Eisen, appreciating the German's professional attitude, not wasting any time.

While he walks out, he says to his other traveling companions:
"See you guys here in a couple of hours?"

The two Americans and the German leave the Pulpit Cantina together.

Standing in front of the Pulpit are Esteban and Paco. The younger one pats the horse's flank and whispers to it in soothing tones. Paco looks on edge. He clearly isn't comfortable being in this neighborhood.

"¿Cómo fue señor? ¿Todo está bien? ¿Nos estamos yendo?" Paco says at the sight of Dr. Loder following the two men.

Throwing down the finished cigarette, and noth stomping on it and spitting at it (more to clear the taste out of his mouth than anything else), Eisen props his pack higher on his arm and turns to the others. "So, the bags are being dropped at the hotel, and then we come back here. Only problem I can see is, we need transport of our own to get the goods here, and we probably wont be returning them. So John, it's your goods; how much are you carrying, and how many mules are you planning on purchasing? A car, though a grand idea, probably isn't going to be ideal in this terrain..."

"I think 2 mules tops should be more than enough for my gear, do you two have any idea what the rest of the guys are bringing along though?" John asks Eisen and the doctor.

He then continues "Perhaps we can go to the Carribean Hideaway Inn first so we can take a look at the size and bulk of all our cargo combined and then head out to purchase some pack animals?"

"¿Cómo podemos ayudar?" Paco says to Loder, it's clear he would like to be anywhere else but in front of the Pulpit, looking around at the various local toughs who live in that neighborhood-- None of whom have even given your group a second glance.

"Nos dirán si nos necesitan, hermano." Esteban says to Paco. He whistles loudly to get the horses attention. They then begin to walk down the street back towards the bazaar to the south.

Paco pauses and turns to Loder. Paranoid that the 'locals' might hear what he had to say he keeps his voice low. "Sí. Puedo hacer eso. ¿Puede usted darme un poco dinero? Por lo menos encontraré diez mulas." He tells you how much money you will need. [[ PDC 12 ]]

Handing Paco a fistful of pesos, Dr. Loder nods in agreement.  "Nos encuentra seis mulas, por favor. Le veremos en el hotel."

"Si." Paco says simply. He takes the adjusted amount of currency and gives you a tilt of his cowboy hat. The brother walk off to accomplish their task.

Paco and Esteban, having been given their duties, have taken off.

The three of you, Herr Eisen, Dr. Loder, and Sgt. Kestrel head southward. Weaving in and out of pedestrians, wagons, livestock, and men and women hawking their goods. It reaches it's crescendo upon hitting the main market square though.

The mixed aromas of a vast variety of foods fill the air. Lines upon lines of small, independently roofed kiosks run the length of side-streets. To one side a boar can be seen (and smelled) roasting on a spit, an enthusiastic Guatemalan marinades it, brushing a rich colored sauce onto it's flanks.

[[ Anyone interested in stopping for something to eat along the way? You haven't eaten since breakfast and your stomachs are grumbling. If so just describe anything imaginative and suitable for the setting to have selected to eat. You all have the WB to cover such pitiful expenses. If you aren't going to stop, you can just post in character that you continue or something. ]]

Spotting a small shanty-style restaurant, Dr. Loder suggests a quick pit-stop to grab some food.  After perusing the menu for a moment, he orders.  "Carne Guisada de Marrano Estilo CostaSur y una cerveza, por favor."

He smiles at the others.  "Costasur style pork stew.  You gotta try this stuff!"

Hungry, but used to it, Eisen isn't even all that aware of his stomach telling him that his body requires nutrition. It's only when the doctor brings it up that he even notices consciously. Seemingly cautious of any food not prepared by himself or packaged in a way to kill living organisms aside from the foods very cells, he surprisingly (to any who really knew him) slowly walks up to the counter, and butchers the phrase he'd heard the doctor say. Eventually, he has to point to the doctor, and the man responds enthusiastically, freed from the language barrier situation. Walking back, waiting for it to be prepared, he notes in a joking tone to the doctor "If this makes me die, I will kill you!"

"You know, that's not a bad idea, Doc. It's been a while since breakfast..." John says and follows Eisen to the counter.

Seeing Eisen's struggle with the language barrier, John simply points to Dr. Loder and smiles.
