OOC: hmm did he see anything? (reply 176)
Sorry 'bout that. There are cargo hatches set in the rear deck. (G-4 through K-4, and the row below, G-5 through K-5). They must be lifted up to use. There is a smoke stack down the center in the C-4 area. Crates in D-3 and E-3. Coiled rope in E-6

Max is quite relieved that John has also come to his aid. Once he arrives from below deck Max signals him not to do anything yet…

“Why don’t we make a deal then, demon? I will satisfy your hunger but you will leave us alone…You see I have exactly what you want…”

Max kneels down, puts his backpack on the floor and starts emptying it…with the exception of the 5 sticks of dynamite that are wired together. The man sets up the time detonator to 12 seconds (about the time he speculates he will need for his plan to work).

At that time Max shows the demon that he has a whole package of sugar!

“This is what you want right? If you want it take it and leave us alone! I will put that into my backpack and give it to you but then you must let us go...”

Max, as we are actively in Combat Rounds you will need to edit your previous post to reflect the actions of one round, please.

Sgt. Kestrel will act next, then the possessed young man, Muta will act. Then finally Pingo.

"I suggest you do as he says, no need for this to get ugly." John says as he steps next to Max, his gun aimed at Muta.

Move to E5, ready to shoot Muta if he initiates a hostile act.

“You are naïve. But this is a trait that I find pleasing about the human creature. It makes killing you so much more enjoyable. You may keep your sugar, Max Hawkins. I have plenty.” The voice from Muta’s mouth says.

”MY Hunger? Aren’t you the presumptuous type, Max Hawkins? My hunger is not the same as this boy’s. I have not allowed this one to feed in over a week, but he will feast on a buffet of your steaming entrails until his stomach ruptures and his teeth break upon your bones.” The demon possessed man cackles with glee as he moves to (F-4).  He strikes at max with a clawed-hand. Max takes a slash across the chest. (He loses 6 HPs)

[John, go ahead and make your held shot, since Muta has indeed performed a hostile act. Remember that he now stands directly in front of Max, and has initiated melee combat with him. That's a -4 to your attack since you have not the Precise Shot feat.

I will post Pingo's action after John makes his attack action, but now... I have to go to work... Mad
With Pingo's action resolved, we will enter Round 5 and Max' bomb will explode at the start of Round 6.]

What kind of action would be required to strap Max's bomb, probably still in the backpack, to Muta in such a way that he can't get rid of it before it goes of? Also, what would the damage to the Halcon be if it goes of?

As he sees Muta storming towards Max, John unleashes a burst of lead from his Thompson.

Okay, this may take a while to finish, IC isn't working anymore...

Edit: Okay, must've been my crappy connection, nevermind Embarrassed

Attack (Burst Fire): 25 +1 for Point Blank Shot, so 22 total with Burst Fire.
Damage: 1 +1 for Point Blank Shot, so 12 total.

Please tell me he at least felt that...

Bowen
I don't know what is wrong with IC when you try rolling Bowen, but your rolls are saved. I MUST honor your first attempt rather than that tasty second. Sorry, man, but if the dice roll, and I can see them-- I must.

Good question; about strapping the bomb to Muta. I'm betting that there will be a ton of potential damage to the Halcon. If it gets blown up, it's going to be a LOOOOOOOONG walk through cannibal territory.  Big Grin

Sorry about that, no prob Smile I thought IC ate my first attempt, didn't notice it saved it, hence the reroll.

I'll edit my previous post Smile

Sgt. Kestrel's finger squeezes the trigger on his Tommy gun, and in a controlled Burst Fire he lets loose a small spray of bullets. Muta's hit, taking deep wounds in his abdomen and arms...

Pingo moves to (G-4) flanking the possessed Muta-- Stabbing with his specialized Short Spear in his right hand, and chopping at Muta with his left, fighting with Two-Weapons. He strikes with the stone-tipped spear, punching it into Muta's exposed back. There is a spray of blood, as Muta shrieks, and turns aside just in time to miss the machete as it swung in its brutal downwards arc.

1d20+5=19, 1d20+4=11, 1d8+4=11, 1d6+3=9 (Didn't realize Pingo was in position to flank when I made my rolls. that 19 is really a 21, that awesome 11 is really an awesome 13. Nothing changed.

The timer in Max's backpack continues it's count-down:
12...11...10...9...8...7...6...

The bloodied, muddied, possessed villager Muta drops to the deck in a heap.

At the end of the round, here is where you all were:

OOC:
Waddaya say we tie this guy up so we can question him when we meet up with the others and toss that bomb of yours overboard, Neull? Unless you can still deactivate it of course...

Would you mind reworking that post so that it's IN-Character? I mean... it's something that your PC's would actually say to each other... you know?  Smile I think that it's completely feasible that thought Muta didn't see the bomb, John from behind Max, may have. I really want to encourage inter-character interaction whenever possible.

After a moment of stillness. Muta begins to thrash- kicking and swinging his arms, as he lay on his back against the decking. His feet stirring through Max's dumped out possessions, scattering them across the deck.

He gnashed his teeth, and blood began to froth and flow from Muta's mouth. He began to scream-- not the ragged scream of the demon speaking through him, but his own choking scream.

Then he lay still once more, his eyes staring blankly up at Max and John both. Cold. Dead. He had bitten his own tongue off and choked on the blood.

"Sonuva...

Say Max, how 'bout you disarm that bomb of yours? No need to blow up the boat."

John says as he moves over to Max's bag.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if you were okay with John having seen Max arm the bomb Smile

If he can't disarm it I'll try to toss it as far overboard as I can...
Or maybe ask Pingo to, he might be able to chuck it somewhat further with his experience with throwing weapons...

Max still in pain from Muta's attack stops the timer of the detonator.

"Don't worry, I just had to turn off the timer" says Max while retrieving his rope from the deck and starts binding Muta’s hands and foot.

"You see we need to tie up this fellow even if he seems to be dead...that thing inside him is probably not dead yet...and believe me there is indeed something in him..."

“Listen john, all those years wondering around the world, looking for ancient artefacts, I have seen some pretty weird things…especially when the Nazis were involved I saw things that could not be explained by modern science or by the human logic…Demonic possession was one of those…of course nothing like that…the one we are facing now seems pretty powerful, it is openly trying to harm us and it seems to know what we are seeking…and if you want my opinion it is related to the Germans…”

“Come on help me out to move the body to the others…I guess the bomb downstairs was disabled right?”

"Yeah, the bomb's been disabled." John replies.

"Think we should remove it and take it with us back to the others? I might be able to rig it to work again when we need it...

You know, somehow I prefer the thought that this was caused by some sort of wacky german chemical weapon..."

“ I know you do John…but I am afraid this was a real thing…and believe me there is always the possibility this demon has entered another body now….we 3 are the main suspects…So we better check for behaviours out of the ordinary…demons seems to lack a lot of human attributes as the sense of humour or the willingness to do good…”

"So we need to tell each other a knock-knock joke every 5 minutes or so?" John smirks as he helps Max to tie Muta up.

"Now how 'bout that bomb? Do we leave it on the boat or do we take it with us back to the village?"
