I've been doing some cleaning up in the Props section. Internet links is it's own reply now, down at the bottom of the thread. I've added a tutorial for squeezing the max out of the Babelfish translator which is in this section. This will help us both understand what our characters are saying! Also, I'm announcing that I will award a special object to a PC if you the player builds an Avatar of your PC and posts it with your Character Page. Photos and Drawings are great-- but this is something extra that I'm asking for as a GM. Russo Thanks again for the great flow we've got going everyone, and thanks in advance for your custom avatars! (I have a special plan for them!)ohhhhh! I'm all tingly! and yes I passed the bluff check +6 baby yeah!

Russo was meant to be calling over the others, he forgets people cant speak his language, low wisdom score you see it works just about, not sure if it would make sense to a real Italian though...

Ha-hah! I love seeing those avatars!
I had to create a custom fedora for one of my npcs. I overlayed it in place and removed the old one with an eraser tool.
So Nuell// if you'd like to make your dude and leave him hatless, I can edit it for you, and put his fedora on. I might be able to do a british explorer's hat too!

Sorry man those avatars seem to childish to me..they are just not my style...I prefer using art pictures for my chars That's fine by me. But in order to receive that In-Game boon you will need one. I'm a professionally trained comic book artist and I STILL use the avatars -- My ArtworkThe simple nature of these Avatars is what appeals to me as a GM-- It's because it give you guys an impression of what a character looks like. Your eyes see a cartoon face, but your brain easily can register more. They do more to spur the imagination. I'm all for detailed artwork, and I love the pic you have. I'm not asking you to remove it either.

I Understand. Your PC will be in "NPC ghost mode"-- Richard will be amongst the party, but not active. Be safe. See you when you get back! Be sure to check the Headlines next Sunday for a recap of this week's events-- Good luck and I'm sorry.

I've updated my Town Rules, and for your benefit I will double-post the relevant changes here for you. If you haven't read any of the town rules yet, you are sooo fired. When you get to a new town, you don't know where the hell to go or where anything is. So how do you know where to go?...
...First thing to do when you get to a new place is to use your senses. Listen and Spot are useful if you do not wish to speak to anyone. When using Listen You can occasionally hear snippets of conversation. Relying strictly on Listen to get around town won't get you very far typically. Spot is infinitely more useful when learning about your immediate vicinity. You will notice signs and shop names. Things that will get you started on moving about from place to place.
To REALLY dig into what is available in a town, you're going to need to Gather Information about it. When using Gather Information you will learn a greater variety of town knowledge. Some locals know places strangers should avoid because of danger. Just relying on your eyes won't give you that.
Getting decent information requires time spent: Taking 10 on a Gather Information check results in a 15-minute time span of asking around. Taking 20 will take you possibly a number of hours. After all, it took some time to track down that info! Big Grin
Each location will be described in detail, including relevant NPCs for that area. If it is a store, it will include a list of goods and services with the WB as well as a description of the store clerk. If you wish to engage the NPC in conversation, just inquire and I’ll respond in like.
This is the way you will learn about locations in town, so that the rest of the town rules can come into play!
