we could give Johns the broken one and let him use it with a grenade...that will do the trick sending fragments of the dagger all over the place...it will both suit his style (destroying ancient relics) and our purpose (killing paranormal entities)  Big Grin

Russo has his own plans for the dagger, namely just wrapping it to a knife hilt to restore it to working order, but I guess he only need one shard for that Plotting

Hah! Quiznos! Them bastiches handed me my walking papers last June ONE week before I was to go on vacation! The bosses had been complaining about their financial woes every since they had opened up their third store and had made me manager of their first.

I wasn't the only one of us let go for varying reasons-- I crash landed a couple months down the road at Michael's Arts and Crafts. I found work there for my other friends who got the boot from Quiznos. All of us who got canned, had been CORE employees for our boss, which meant that we got paid MUCH more than the average "sandwich artist"--

Since then, they had to close their second of three stores. I hope the bastards choke. They HONESTLY really fucked my life up, and I'm STILL reeling from it, just over a year later. I hope that they drop dead, and I hope that I can watch so I can be there to laugh heartily.

I give Subway ALL of my sammich money these days. Fuck The Q!  Clap

Yeah, Joe the night I read what Bowen/Sgt. Kestrel had attempted to with the knife-- I had company over "they were like 'Holy shit!'-- they came by the next day to see what had resulted.

I assume that Bowen was trying to see if there was a +1 attached anywhere in the Obsidian Daggers stats. But sadly, if there had been, the dagger was still very ancient. Boo-urns. Bang Head

Also, Joe-- turns out that the now infamous "Badlands" thread was NOT deleted by WotC-- this time I copied & pasted the entire bastard into a Word document (it's close to 300 fucking pages!!!)--

Cannibalism goes both ways man-- you cannibalize my campaign for your group-- I think that I'm going to cull the best ideas out of that Badlands Thread and re-gift them when the time comes. Specifically Leadfeather's Echo Temple and environs...

But that has NOTHING to do with the Prologue! Heh! (well... not directly, at least Wink)

I haven't played tabletop in MONTHS-- some guys I game with from time to time had been trying to get me into a 3.5D&D game, but my work schedule and my interest levels have basically removed me from that-- though I did get a re-invite when they took the campaign into 4E-- I suppose I should at least TRY 4E, but again, time isn't my pal.

Meh, Kestrel just wanted to see if it would really be as useful as a standard issue military knife in close-combat. Would suck to find out it isn't up to the task when you're already tangling with a 'demon'/deranged Nazi Big Grin

Just my character's pragmatic (and somewhat narrowminded ) mindset Big Grin

I do love the reactions it got though
