Ugh! What a crapfestastic day-- life got up and shook its finger at me for most of the day.

I'm working on the game post as I write this though...

Yeah, I'll be slow as well for the next week, more assignments and an exam will take up most of my time unfortunately.

I'll try to keep up at least somewhat though Smile

At least the Kid didn't say "I'll be right back." I'm waiting for someone to break from the group at machete landing and say "you guy's go on, I'll catch up."

Two questions:

1)   Do we have any idea of the whereabouts of the representatives of the League of Nations (DuMont and Wilkes)? They stayed in Kingston Queen or in town?
2)   Could you please remind me who exactly was Albert Dunning, what was he doing in the lost city, and how we have his letters?

No problem, a couple of answers!

1)    DuMont and Wilkes were assigned to deliver your briefing, after which time they were going to take the return trip with the Steamer. They were both last seen heading below deck to partake in some alcohol the Captain was serving, then probably back to their cabins.

2)
An expedition took place during the 1920’s. Letters were written by a man named Albert Dunning to his mother to whom he describes the expedition’s journey to a lost city. Dunning was the only man to make it back, but he died from his injuries in a native village. His letters never made it home; rather they ended up in the possession of a missionary. They resurfaced the hands of private collectors, then traded and sold until the Nazis took an interest in them. Thanks to Herr Abendroth we now have the first three of these instead of the Ahnenerbe.

These letters are our Ace in the Hole. If you can successfully find and follow Dunning’s trail based on the descriptions written about in the letters, then we may just beat the Nazis at their own game this time.

Find a guide and try, as best you can, to follow the trail of Albert Dunning.

Hitler believes that there is a powerful relic to be found in this lost city. If this artifact exists we want to get it before he does, even if it turns out to be just a lump of useless stone. Even something symbolically powerful could be used in the Nazi Propaganda machine.

This is about where you guys (& gal) are at on the map. It was only a couple of hours until dusk so you haven't gotten very far, but you would have been further back still had it not been for Richard's Survival instinct.

No other encounters for the first night, but it should be decided now how to split the shifts.

"Whichever watch, I can cover the midnight fine any and all nights. Short rotating shifts, or long shifts over rotating days?"

Pingo, Bones, Esteban, and Paco are all available. You could take turns, or you could have two-man watches as well.

Watches will become more important down the road. You can't expect Pingo to be hiding in the Jungle EVERY night.

Discuss.  Smile

Two man with the same shift each night, or three shifts a night, rotating in an ordered schedule so you get a different shift depending on the night would be good. Just as an OOC that relates to IC knowledge; dad did paratrooper and ranger training, apparently that's one of the best ways to do watch with limited groups. The shit he randomly taught me... anyways, two men per shift twice a night or one man per shift three times a night is a good way to go.
