Dammit, my post didn't go through!

The group manages to pilot out of the canyon with no further incidents, emerging onto another stretch of sand and dunes. After a while, some cliffs appear in the distance, and as the speeders approach, the path up the cliffs becomes clear. Jabba's Palace stands atop one of these cliffs, looking like no Hutt dwelling you've ever seen. The only way in appears to be through a large metal door, but the door is shut, and no buzzer or comm unit can be seen.

DC 20 Knowledge (galactic lore) or (social sciences) reveals that this is a B'omarr monastery, and subesquently, the location of the door droid's compartment.

"So now what? We knock?" Jayce says somewhat jokingly as he looks over to Chido and the rest of the party.

Impatiently pushing past the others, Teela bangs on the door droid's compartment with the butt of her blaster and barks something in Huttese.  <Hey, open up, we have business!>

Knowledge (galactic lore) = 23 (w00t, Natural 20!)

Nice, j0lt! That certainly changes a few things...

The compartment flies open, and the droid extends an optical probe that focuses on each party member present, settling on Chido last. A mechanized voice says in Huttese, <Chido, are these sentients here to see His Excellency?>

<Yes, and we've already run into two ambush teams. Forgive my haste, but I think the mighty Jabba will want to see them immediately.>

The optical probe retracts, and the compartment slams shut. Gears grind in the background, and the door slowly opens to reveal a Twi'lek male standing there, dressed in dark clothing that appears vaguely sinister. He bows to the group, and says in Basic, "If you have any questions, best to get them out of the way now. His Excellency dislikes questions..."

Teela sneers at the Twi'lek.  She obviously hasn't been around her species in some time.  "I only need to know one thing...  How much are we being paid for this job?"

"What the lady said. I'd also like to make sure that it's worth any potential risk, 20.000 credits aren't of much use if you've lost your head." Jayce adds.

"We're not making any threats, don't worry. Could you take us to the mighty Jabba so we may negotiate the terms of this assignment?"

Jax stands there and remains quiet, acting like a normal 3PO droid.

"Your methods, so long as they do not implicate Jabba or his associates, are within your judgment. Now follow me." Without waiting for a response, the Twi'lek turns and leads the way into the palace. Two Gamorreans armed with vibro-axes that look suspiciously wet bar the way, but the Twi'lek snaps at them and they draw back, chastened.

Before they walk in Jayce puts a hand on Teela's shoulder and whispers in her ear "Try not to offend the slug, will ya?"
