Jayce laughs wildly as he sends the bike into a spin to quickly fire at the pilot behind him, causing Chido to wince. The pilot flinches, and Torin seizes the moment to thrust a hand forward, causing the pilot to fall off the bike and hit a rock with a loud, wet thump. The mercenary remaining on the bike seizes the controls with one hand and tosses a fist-sized object behind him with the other. It detonates well ahead of Torin and Teela, but the shrapnel slices into them all the same.

Grenade attack roll: 1d20+10=13
Damage: 4d6+2=11

Halved for a missed attack roll, that's 5 points of damage.

Gritting her teeth, Teela accelerates towards the remaining speeder, attempting to pull along side it.

Pilot check = 25

Teela easily swerves through a small maze of rocks and matches speeds with the second speeder.

Jax swivels in his seat and fires rapidly at the last mercenary. Unfortunately, his shots miss when the mercenary ducks and takes evasive action, veering the bike to one side to dodge the last few bolts.

Bowen, you're up, then I'll add on Emissary's attack.

"Hang on Chido!" Jayce says as he makes a sharp turn to adjust his aim and releases a burst of laser fire at the last bandit.

Natural 20, roll to confirm: 25

Damage: 24

Jayce feels a surge from the Force, guiding his shot. The bolt hits the mercenary right between the eyes, and he slumps onto the controls. A loud hiss goes up from the speederbike, and the air brakes fire, stopping the bike inches from a large boulder in the middle of the canyon.

Teela pulls up beside the remaining swoop and climbs off to check over the corpse of the mercenary for any weapons or credits.

Take 10 on perception to search = 17

"Anything of use, Teela?" Jayce asks as he brings his speeder to a halt near the enemy swoop and walks over to take a look himself.

Perception: 21

While searching the remains of the ambush team, Teela and Jayce find one frag grenade and a dirty, ill-kept DC-17, along with 300 credits in a side compartment on the speeder.

"Not bad I guess. And a free speeder to boot." Jayce jokingly remarks.

Torin hops onto the speeder and checks the controls and such

The speeder's controls seem to work fine, and a quick test proves that its maneuverability and speed are also up to snuff.

Teela pockets the credits and the frag grenade, then holds up the blaster pistol.  Anyone want this?

"Meh, looks like it could blow up in your hand any time." Jayce replies to Teela's question.

"Let's get going again, I don't like to linger in a place like this.

Ow and Teela, help me remember we split those credits when we're done at Jabba's palace." he adds just before he and Chido start accelerating out off the canyon.

Tossing the blaster aside, Teela winks.  "I'll try not to forget."

Hopping onto her own speeder, Teela races after Jayce and Chido.
