Gloves of Endless Javelins (MiC, pg. 194): For 7,000 gp you can have unlimited +1 Force javelins. The helmet of the set is also decent. +5 to Spot, Far Shot, and having two items of the set gives you unlimited Feather Fall.

Anyone think the amulet of tears deserves a slot for low-levels?
2,300gp 3 charges, temporary HP for 10 minutes based on charges used.
1 charge 12hp
2 charge 18hp
3 charge 24hp.

From MIC. Clothing section.

so you can get an extra 36 hp every day. that's 12 toughness feats. If the slot is open, you have not reason not to have this (except for cash limits).

+1 to gauntlet of endless javelins. Would that the gloves on infinite daggers were half as good.

I believe it was reprinted in Magic Item Compendium.  The original was from Magic of Faerun, and it didn't have charges... just a one-shot item (and absolutely mean to include in NPC's loot... and actively used)  Big Grin

The fact that they are force javelins is what makes it so amazing.

Yeah, but they're pretty terrible.  My group did just run a D2 style game by finding setting material online and making characters, monsters, etc. that fit the environment.  Was great fun.

Dark armor enhancement (DotU)
+8000 gp.

+5 circumtsance on Hide checks made to conceal yourself from creatures with darkvision. In addition (when fighting such creatures), you gain concealment.
You lose these benefits whenever you are in an area of bright light.

So, you know how pretty much every race except humans has darkvision, right?

Well, who needs hide in plain sight?  As long as you're not in an area of bright light you can hide yourself from about 90% of the monster manual.

Dark armor enhancement (DotU)
...
Wow, that is pretty awesome.  Most DMs will probably treat it like the Ring of the Darkhidden, though, and only give you the bonus when the creature is actually using its darkvision to see you which still makes it pretty useful, though perhaps less than the Ring.  I'm not saying there's any real RAW support for that, but it's my prediction.

If you want to go to stupidly literal interpretations, it doesn't say "concealment against those creatures".  So if you're fighting a drow, you also have concealment against his human sidekick.

Yeah, but then you have to fight him in every encounter, and he won't be your friend for long Tongue

Have it be like a Gimli/Legolas contest thing. at the end of combat first to strike the other wins. Just use a touch attack, so you don't actually deal damage.

Seconding the previously-mentioned Shadow Cloak from Drow of the Underdark:
1 deflection to AC
And: if you're attacked, 3/day you can teleport 10 feet in LoS as an immediate action.

Abrupt jaunt - not just for conjurers anymore.

Elixer of the Unfailing Servant: 750 gp for animate dead on a single creature.  Well... it has to come back as a zombie (no skeleton), and it has to be captured alive for you to forcefeed it the potion, and the default instructions are a little sketchy (rebuking/command undead is needed - bolt them to the table), but on the other hand it's more efficient for reanimating any creatures above 15 hd (or 8, if you craft it yourself), and doesn't count towards your animate dead pool.
