+1 Warning Fukimi-Bari (A&EG). Eager, however, specifies that it needs to be wielded. Eh, if you're a spellcaster, you can just hold it in one hand while you blast people to smithereens with the other one, right? And you only have to hold it until combat starts. Then after you roll initiative, you can drop it as a free action. So basically anyone could use it. I think I should get some of these...

For level 6+, a Novice Crown of White Ravens or other item to grant maneuvers is uber. Being able to use Distracting Ember, Flashing Sun, Shadow Jaunt, and Crusader's Strike each once per fight or once per minute for 3000G is spiffy!

Hood - My first answer to all your build questions; past, present, and future. Speaking of which: Don't even need TO for this. Any decent Hood build, especially one with Celerity, one-rounds [Azathoth, the most powerful greater deity from d20 Cthulu]. Does it bug anyone else that we've reached the point where characters who can obliterate a greater deity in one round are considered "decent?"

You can't bash with an animated shield. So it shouldn't count as a weapon that you're "wielding", even if it is a spiked shield. You also still incur ASF from an animated shield, but that's a secondary issue. What's so hard about just holding it and dropping it when combat starts, anyway? I know a lot of the "shuriken" I had when I was a kid had a little hole in the middle. So you could even run a loop of leather through it, and wear it as a necklace. When you want the benefit, you "wield" it, and then when you drop it at the start of combat you won't actually lose it.

Because changes to your initiative modifier re-order you once combat has begun, if they carried that forward from the 3.0 faq to the 3.5 one.

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.
Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH! Behind door number 2: A magic crown! Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY! They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.
Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.
Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time. I give you much fu. Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky, Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die, One for the Wizard on his dark throne In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Eh, we can work around that. Step 1: Win initiative. Step 2: Ready an action to take as soon as the person immediately after you in the imitative order starts to do anything. Step 3: Drop shuriken. Step 4: ? Step 5: Profit

I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle. The book doesn't even exist! Quotes: By yes, she means no.

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea. If using Genesis to hide your phylactry, set it at -300 degrees farenheit. See how do-gooders fare with a liquid atmosphere.

Fixed that for you. Umm... yeah... That shit is crazy good. Thanks for the find, guys! Added two of those to my upcoming character, and also 1 eager piece of ammunition and another with warning. Price is 25 gp each, FYI. Glad to see you're still around Caelic.

Didn't see this one posted: Circlet of Mages, MiC 5,000 pg86 If I am reading it right, it can retain both prepared and spontaneous spells. +2 competence to concentration always. 3 charge item. 1 charge functions like pearl of power level 1(1,000each), 2 charges for pearl of power level 2(4000+1 charge left), and 3 charges for pearl of power 3(9,000gp). You have to use it when you cast the spell, so that is a down side, but it takes no action to do so. Cheaper than a Memento Magica level 2 (6,000gp) and would still have 1 charge left to use on a level 1 spell. Far cheaper than Memento Magica level 3(13,500). Takes the head slot though.

Is there a chance Caelic will update this? If not, we should really make a new thread with all these and the new additions. I find it frustrating to look through dozens of books anew every PC I make, so having an index of good stuff is a good idea.
We have one for spells (well, most, anyways, and I'm sad that we don't feature the "new" finds more), so why not for items?
The Drake Helm (Explorer's Guide to Eberron) is relatively cheap for what it does, and yet it's not here. And what Sorcerer wouldn't want to be able to cast Improvisation as a 1st level spell for 7K? How about having Greater Dispel as a 3rd level spell? Or maybe Inner Beauty for +4 Sacred to CHA/DEX? Snowsong for +4 Morale to CHA, as well as Fast Healing 1, +4 Attack and other nice stuff? Sirine's Grace for +4 Enhancement to CHA/DEX and CHA to AC?
Drake Helm (1 socket, 1st level - Improvisation) (1K + 6K) Extra Sockets: +1 (+7K), +2 (+10K), +3 (+14K)
A Worm of Minauros (8K) is a "Magical Location" that gives +1 to an Ability Score, untyped, and really cheap. Bands of Blood Rage add a +5 Morale to Damage to the whole party, and REALLY cheap, too. A Rapier of Unerring Direction (9.32K) IGNORES ANY AND ALL MISS CHANCES and is dirt cheap! A Greater Revelation Crystal (5K) can suppress ANY AND ALL Concealment and Invisiblity effects, and can even shut down a Swiftblade's (Ex) Super-Haste (silly, but it works) for 1 round.
