the most effective optimization is the one you can actually get away with. (A group of nerds are called a murder because like crows we are anti-social, like shiny things, and often squack at each other over nothing for hours) I often have to remind people not to underrate divination. The ability to effectively metagame without actually metagaming beats the ability to set things on fire more times than not.

"Stupendous indeed. Well good sir, I have a few strings to pull and a few debts to call in, aswell as a companion that shows remarkable knowledge in aprasing ancient weapons. I will be back."With that, Gregory leaves the store and goes outside. Wandering around, observing how the building around the store are places and their construction, he slowly makes his way back towards where his other companions are located.

Kyle falls into step behind Gregory, raising his eyebrows fractionally as he does so.

With a final glance around the store for any structural details he might have missed, Samuel follows the others out of the building.

As his companions emerge from the store Daken joins their group. "Anything interesting that might influence our mission, gentlemen?"

Gregory speaks in a low voice after making sure there's no one around to overhear him. "Perhaps. We can't go to work whilst the target is still working, unless we go for a frontal assault. He closes his shop at 9pm, I advice some sort of ambush."

"Ambush is often a messy affair, and certainly risky. If we intend to execute our target in such a manner, we'll need to move quickly and be prepared to run afterwards."
Any thoughts on the dagger?
Assuming no one else has anything to do during the day, Kyle and the rest of the group will likely find an inconspicuous place to while away the day (or alternatively, scout the town for a secluded area) until 8 o'clock.
My proposal is that we wait until the shopkeeper enters the most distant region of the town (or the one least populated by guards), then we jump him. Any suggestions?
