I don't know about that.
While I definitely don't like every anime there is, there are a few that I certainly like.
If you don't mind me asking, what is it you hate about anime and do you hate all of it? And if so, why?

That is all. Seriously, to say you hate anime for any reason other than the art style is silly - it's a medium, and it varies wildly (And the art style varies too - see the pic on this page). Some people start hating anime because they hate anime fans. This happens within the fandom too - there are a lot of... young Naruto fans, which leads to other anime fans hating Naruto without watching it.

Naruto isn't exactly my favourite show, but it passes the time. (Note: Shippuden is noticably darker than the original series, with a number of major characters being killed off)
I admit, though, I used to be one of the crazy DBZ fanboys back when it was on the air.

mostly the animation style. coupled with the cultural divide in story telling i suppose..
by cultural divide i mean, i also really didnt care for 'the ring' or pretty much any of that sort of thing..
being the geek type i am, it would seem natural that i would in fact like anime.. 1. its a cartoon, i like cartoons. 2. the art can be well done, i like art.. 3. lots of techno stuff are common, 4. magics 5. fantasy 6. tentacles
it should be a superfecta.. i do like asian films, with live actors usually.. dont think i have ever seen an asian (stylisicly) cartoon film i have liked.
i did find bobobobobo amusing, but only in that it was making fun of something i dislike..
i do own a couple Astro Boy and Speed Racer comics.. but thats like 1 of each for collecting not for the stories... i do like the art in the comic genre.. the Mach is still a nice ride even with the abomination of a movie they made..
it could all go back to my childhood, finding out that Voltron (that i liked alot when i was 8 - 9 ish) was not unique or original. after that (we got our first TV when i was 8 (1982)) after Voltron hit all the moring cartoon started moving from Tom & Jerry to the anime (japanimation here in bfe 1980s) style. Robotech and Macros showed up.. and thunderbirds for that matter.. never cared for any of it.. the HOLY Grail of anime : Akira.. bah it sucks.. Sailor moon, Dragon ball, Gundam, Digimon, Naurto, that ninja thing with the ears, all balls..
i do like things with anime aspects... Robotech (the games, not the toons..), Pokemon... (Pikachu and Charizard are irresistable (dont care for the movies or the tv series they have made the last few years.. gimme Ash, Brok, Misty and a pocket full of abused animals...)(i also dont read/speak japanesse so i do know what the originals are like.. i assume they were done in english last..)), i did enjoy the Batman Gotham Knight. and i think the anime nature of it helped it... as the stylistic changes have helped seperate the various batman cartoons (60s / scooby / Super Friends, TAS, JLU, THE batman, Brave n Bold)
wasnt really aiming for a full on pshycological profile, but o well..

The standard response to "I hate anime" is "Watch/read Death Note". It's a battle of wits between two genius-level characters with conflicting ideals of justice, in a modern setting with exactly one supernatural element. Many people who do not normally watch anime will recommend it. Sailor moon, Dragon ball, Gundam, Digimon, Naurto, that ninja thing with the ears, all balls.. The first is a girl's, or shojo show. The others are boy's, or shonen anime. What you should be looking for is seinen (men's) anime, like Ghost in the Shell or Cowboy Bebop. "Gundam" is not a series. There were a lot of Gundam series, varying greatly in tone and artstyle. All of them were seinen, with shonen appeal in the form of kickass giant robots (apart from G Gundam, which is very shonen and very silly). I liked Gundam SEED for instance, but found Gundam Wing annoying (be warned, both take a while to pick up).

Death Note? Sunic, uber? Flame him 'til he watches it. You can see the op here. If you do watch it, I recommend watching the subtitled version (the English voices are weird and don't quite fit the characters). Personally, I thik the manga has better pacing, but that's just me. The weird thing is that it was published in Shonen Jump magazine (home of Naruto, Bleach, Dragonball and Yu-Gi-Oh) and is thus usually classified as shonen rather than seinen. For your convenience, the TVTropes articles on the various audiences: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Shonenhttp://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Shojohttp://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Seinenhttp://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Josei

I will look for Death note, because im a masochist..

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say I "hate" anime, but I definitely don't search it out or own much of it (the only thing I can think of is Doomed Megalopolis, but that came in a lot of movies I acquired).
No hate, but not any love...

Something else to be aware of: Giant robots in anime are divided into Super Robots (such as Voltron and Megas XLR) which have named attacks and in some cases are literally powered by courage, and Real Robots (such as Metal Gear Solid and Code Geass) which are basically oddly shaped tanks. Compare G Gundam with Gundam 00. If the difference isn't apparent enough, watch G Gundam's finale.

Is G Gundam the one with the schoolgirl Gundam (among other things...)? I've only seen Wing, Seed, and 00, and I must say, out of those 3, Gundam Wing was my favorite by far

I am not fond of toriyama's artwork, but in general I'm neutral about Anime. Although my dislike of Japanese pop culture means there's a limit to what I like.

I'm an anime fan. I don't like it all, but it is something I love to watch. Been watching it for... oh god, I just added up the time, about fourteen years now.
The trick with it, I have to say, is watching stuff that you might like. Anime is so ridiculously varied that it's very easy to find things you don't like. (Also, be careful about watching it on American cable channels... some of the translations are, to put it lightly, bad.)
