One lone cat split from the swarm and padded into the ring, the rest watched silently. Shaking itself, fur flew, and exploded into a new swarm within the circle. Outside, the main body turned as one, with a low hypnotic wauling, joining the audience, it seemed only this splinter would be doing battle.
The rest will watch and waul.

The shots tear into the cats, sending up clots of fur, which erupt into a black furred wave, even as the grenade ripped a hole within the swarm. With a cacophony of screeches, the wave stood and grew, cats climbing upon more cats, before collapsing towards the stormtroopers in a tsunami of black fur.

The cats, distracted by the fresh blood, battled over the corpses, sending gouts of flesh, blood, armor shreds and fur flying. The fur explodes into yet more cats, they were approaching the limit of the arena's capacity to contain the sheer volume. The cats which could not reach the dead stormtroopers instead assaulted the 2 survivors, wishing to claim a chunk for themselves.
