I think this is the right place to post this(instead of the Playground), since this is more about sharing personal
experiences(albeit dreams) than anything consciously made up.
Today, Sunday Nov 8, 2008:
I just woke up from a bizzarre dream that could be discribed as a live-action MTG game that didn't use the standard cards, but (mostly) followed the rules. The dream was quite lengthy and I don't remember the early parts of it, though it was revealed near the middle/end that we were playing over tickets to GenCon. Both sides had about 4-5 creatures in play at a time, though some of them were measly 1/1 chump blockers.
I had managed to get an advantage in life total, but I was down to only one or two cards in hand while he/they had several still, so I was worried I would run out of resources, as my opponent was making better and better plays.
And then the God-Draw: A White-Black(one mana of each) Enchant Creature card called "Strength of Light and Darkness" or something like that. The card gave +7/+4, first strike, trample and a couple other insignificant abilities(though apparently not flying).
I threw that onto a weak creature with no abilities of it's own hoping to make it take out a few of their creatures or smash them hard in the face. As this was based off MTG, they get to decide how they blocked, so they blocked with their newest creature: Wolverine.
I asked Wolverine what his abilities are and he listed them on three fingers: Fight, Fight, Kill. Well Wolvey only had 4 toughness, but it was decided that he had 1:Regenerate(even though it wasn't listed under his stats it was clearly a misprint. I mean come on: Wolverine). And so after first strike damage they activated his regenerate ability and he was tapped and removed from combat, and then trample damage was assigned to them. I was almost awake at this point and thought "God, this better be a dream." Luckily, it was, and I woke up.
Any interested dreams anyone had recently? You don't need to remember them now - feel free to post them here right after you have them! Or copy part of your livejournal post about it. I don't have one so I thought I'd post here.
