It's almost a third of a percent of our starting wealth...

Got a legit means of saving money on your equipment?  If so, yeah you can save that amount.

Actually, I'm talking about the Masterwork components, where if you fail by 5 or more, you have to start again. You can't take 10 to Masterwork an item.

Right now you've got a +8 Int Mod, +4 with the penalty you're talking about. Meaning that's a +5 modifier that you've got before your actual roll. If you botch the roll, you ruin half the starting materials, and have to buy them again (1/6 the cost).

It's not a big deal, but if you botch a few times, you may not be saving any money at all, and your character isn't a character that has a class ability that gives item creation.

While Fighters actually get this:

Quote
Forge Lore: A 7th level Fighter can produce magical weapons and equipment as if he had a Caster Level equal to his ranks in Craft.
I'll fix my sheet later today.

I'm assuming that anything within a hard-bound WoTC D&D 3.5 book would be fine, right? Stuff like Magic Item Compendium etc.?

It doesn't matter if I have a class ability to craft, because Uber doesn't want anyone to craft magical items, and for my non-magical items, I auto make the craft check and don't need a stupid class crafting ability.

I have a +9 Int mod, I cast Heroism on myself, that's +11, And yes, you can take ten to craft the masterwork part. So now, it really is impossible for me to waste materials.

I've already stated that we're not using the one level river.

I still need confirmation on the use of published WoTC stuff in general or not? Mostly b/c I need to reshuffle my guys gear. I didn't realize how much straight Dragon stuff is used in Crystal Keep's PDFs, and I didn't have access to any of my WoTC books when I was making my character, so a lot of minor stuff had to be dumped.

Specifically on books access, I want to know if Magic Item Compendium, Complete Adventurer, Spell Compendium, Arms & Equipment Guide and Complete Arcane are permissible? Specifically Ignan out of MIC and Whip-daggers out of A&E Guide. Spell Comp, Comp Arcane and Comp Adv. are more for spells.

All 3.5 is game. AEG, however, I cannot promise you.

No problem, I didn't realize that there were much better enchants out there than extending, especially for these misions, to be used.

3.5 is game.  3.0 is not without explicit permission (give me the full text of anything you want to use).

Oh, and getting more reach from the weapon is probably a bad idea (suddenly the enemies all use your weapon and the rest of the party is even MORE fucked in the reach games).

It's Uber's turn...

I've been checking the initiative lists he's posted whenever I had a question about it.

Had a bit of a misunderstanding on how my ability of Shadow Illusion works. Fortunately I had an open feat slot which I got from retraining my first level feat Precocious Apprentice, so it's good.

I had thought that the ability created a spell of the figment's level, but it actually creates those one lower than the spell's level. Fortunately, I can use Arcane Thesis to counteract this, allowing me to cast spells heightened to 8th level in a 7th level spell slot. If this is ruled to not work, then I have to retroactively assing more stat points to my wisdom score and retrain other feats to get Earth Spell.

EDIT: I just reread earth spell. Fuck this solution. I'm taking earth spell. I just noticed that the caster level boosts stack for ever and ever. Holy Crap.

So, you're going to get a floating/flying rock to get the benefits at all times? Because right now, you're sort of screwed with regard to "standing on stone"

Unless you get dirt-filled boots. then it's all good.  Smirk

Note the inventory. It says on there "Dirt." If need be, I'll get +1 dirt and use a magic item slot, but right now it's just in my shoes not taking up any slot.

And I could always just cast TK and TK myself and a rock.
