Just to let you know, I've got both techniques. You don't need to worry about either of them, or the value there of, if you'd like to do other things.

No, they're both pretty much the most useful things to apply to other weapon attacks. I really don't need more speed, I plan on not being close in, so AC isn't that much of a priority, and my saves are fairly high
Two characters dealing con damage though.
That will be interesting.
I'm forseeing much in the way of constructs now. Whatever, we've got a Beguiler to use anything to make them walk in circles.
I think that Jagged's going to get a Ring of Blink and a Minor Cloak of Displacement in order to get lots of negation of enemy attacks (50%, then 20%). Plus you know, DR and something like 250 hit points.

Please, could someone now tell me what system are we using? I happen to use a nightstick and if possible I'd like to get a few more of those for party/personal buffing later on, but here I am in the middle of a text jungle. Also, what Tome rules are we using here and how do they effect my character and where can I find them?

We're using DMG style wealth. Don't worry about it. I'm absolutely not switching over to Tome rules for wealth this late.

Oh yeah. Is there a spell for actually moving in water? Can I fly there if I have Freedom of movement on?

Of course. Doesn't FoM explicitly overcome water resistance?

How are we doing buffs like GMW? Tshern, are you just going to cast them on us prior to battle or what?

I believe he has a Persisted Mass Lesser Vigor and a Chained Greater Magic Weapon, and Possibly Chained Greater Magic Armor for everyone.
Since the duration of all three of those is: As long as you are alive. I'm going to guess they are cast right before we enter, and then we just leave them on our sheet until we hit an AMF field.

Okay, guys. Who has the monocle? If nobody has the monocle, then I'll get it, I've got a few bucks left, but someone needs a monocle. Besides, it fits my character well enough. He's got the spectacles.

I'm assuming that something like say the following would be the minimum needed to get around during this next mission, right? Cloak of the Manta RayThis cloak appears to be made of leather until the wearer enters salt water. At that time the cloak of the manta ray adheres to the individual, and he appears nearly identical to a manta ray (as the polymorph spell, except that it allows only manta ray form). He gains a +3 natural armor bonus, the ability to breathe underwater, and a swim speed of 60 feet, like a real manta ray. Although the cloak does not enable the wearer to bite opponents as a manta ray does, it does have a tail spine that can be used to strike at opponents behind the wearer, dealing 1d6 points of damage. This attack can be used in addition to any other attack the character has, using his highest melee attack bonus. The wearer can release his arms from the cloak without sacrificing underwater movement if so desired. Moderate transmutation; CL 9th; Craft Wondrous Item, polymorph, water breathing; Price 7,200 gp; Weight 1 lb. I'm going to add one to Innard's Cloak of Elvenkind, and Jagged's got a massive budget left, so I can fit one in for her as well. Does everyone else here have swimming/water breathing? Edit: What Woodenbandman Monocle? Also: If we've all got 2k gold to spare, I'd really think that each of us grabbing one of these would really help the entire group: Earring of the Wolf (DR334 p71) Single earring, typically with a military unit insignia. Created as part of a set. Each wearer of one of these earrings can hear what is spoken by any other wearer of an earring from the same set.
Communications between a given pair of earrings is thwarted by magical silence, over a mile of distance, 10’ of earth or wood, 5’ of stone, 1’ of metal, or any amount of lead.
Additional earrings can be added to a set as long as all current earrings of a set are present when the new earrings are created.
— Misc. Faint Trans Caster lvl 5; Craft Wondrous Item, Message 2,000 gp

THE monocle. The Artificer's monocle. I'll get it, and an earring of the wolf, I've got at least 7k left.

150k -36 +6 Headband of Int -84 Cloak of flight (with perfect maneuverability) -18k +1 Defending, Warning Dagger -9k +1 Twilight Mithral Chain Shirt -5k Artificer's Spectacles -2k Earring I think I might be a bit over, really. That adds up to... 154k. Someone else needs to buy the artificer monocle. I'll contribute 1k towards it and purchase the Appraise Ranks, if need be.

Prak, I have no idea what all those +5s are, but we seriously have chained GMW and MV, so there's no reason for a +5 anything but cloak of resistance on your character sheet.
Also, Why the Hell are you buying potions of Waterbreathing. That's what spells are for. How long does a potion last? 6 hours. How about a 3rd level spell slot? 80 hours.
It doesn't even cost us a slot to have it going constantly. Put those back and get something worthwhile.

Did you spend money to get that? Is it an actual +5 or a +5 equivalent?
If you have a +1 Wounding whatever claw, that's cool.
But if it's a +5, then just drop it, get a +4 to everything from GMW, and spend all that money on something else.
Where's you Sheet? What are your saves? WHat do you actually need? A Str enhancer?

Something like 2,000 + 3,000 = 5,000 gp? I just want innards to be a little spider guy "like any proper male would be", but he can turn all big and hulky, so that he can "feel like a big strong female." Yes, this is in part to use science to make fun of gender-based preconceptions, but it's also at least mildly humorous. The one thing that I hated about the movie... Antz, was that the big hulking soldiers were... men. Instead of sexless females. Stupid humans and their stupid societal constructs can get curbstomped with sledgehammers, it's not accurate and it's useless sexism inserted subtley. Also, the two melee weapons currently grant 15' of reach; 20' with fighter 11; and 30' if the character is large. Think of it as if the character has a moving metal spider web of death. Anything that enters will probably get injured. Also, with careful positioning Merhault// Innards can help give flanking to nearly every other party member; he threatens a 40 foot wide (to limit movement) swathe of territory; 70 across if he's large (since you have a 10' square for yourself, then 30' on either side). He also threatens a 60' radially wide area with his ranged weapons, but movement doesn't provoke an AoO from his ranged AoOs.[/list]
