Upon reflection, Caden realizes that some of the shards of the broken throne could probably serve as awkward handles to his new-found torch.

"Well, it's not like we're going to use it for it's original purpose anyway. And if anyone mind, they can just come back and tell me and I'll make amends." Though I doubt anyone would return from the grave for such a small matter.
He picks up a few pieces and tries to fit them togheter.

Canere searches the room and then looks for exits.

Ira gave the torch an odd look, but left it as an afterthought. It might come in handy, especially for the snow outside, but taking too much from the room could destabilize the odd equilibrium of the ice ceiling. At least, that's what Ira figured. Peering up at Canere, she rubbed her hands. The cold was starting to get to her, just a bit.

"Canere, you find anything?"

[Stratovarius]

The only exit that stands before them is the same as which they entered from, for all the others are hidden down beneath the all-encrusting ice. From without, though, they hear the noise of a soft slap, slap, noises that had not existed before, when they passed through the great hall and its dark and gloomy interior.

Canere unslings his bow and nocks an arrow as he turns to face this slapping noise. His eyes narrow as he tries to find the source of the noise.

Glancing through the doorway, there is nothing to be seen, but much of the hall remains shrouded by stone and gloom. The sound grows louder for a moment, then stops.

Canere starts forward slowly, letting his glowing aura wash away the shadows concealing the source of noise.

Caden follows, focused, since his companions body language says that something might be up ahead.

Seeing Canere and Caden's alertness, Ira followed suit, silently drawing her blade, the shearing of steel echoing just so slightly. Her gaze, now sharpened, fell on the darkness, aided by newly donned glasses.

[Stratovarius]

The slapping and skittering starts up as they approach the doorway, and shadowy movements appears behind some of the columns and other places within the great hall ahead. It is impossible to get a clear view of them, however, as they stay exclusively in the darkest places.

Canere reaches into his pouch and produces a pair of dice. Crushing them in his hand, he lets arcane energies of luck roll over him and improve his eyesight as he narrows his eyes and continues down the hallway.

Ira made her approach, slow and cautious, before calling out the creatures, keeping her distance far and her blade alert.

"Creatures who still live amongst the rubble, show yourselves!"

Nothing comes back down the hallway but a brief hint of movement and the slapping as things draw closer.

His newly aquired knife in one hand and his even newer torch in the other, Caden follows his companions.

A stone flies out of the darkness, sparking from the cobbles in front of the three friends. Following it close behind are dim forms, forms that seem to draw and drink the light even as they pass through the few lit pools within the great hall. At first, there only seems to be three, but then three and three more step forward, each moving in triplicate as they charge. None wear clothing, but each seems to have a scrap of gold or other precious stones about their necks.
