Sometimes I wonder if there's a REALLY good designer hidden away at WotC that creates these things as easter eggs just to see if anyone can find them. And I envision him cackling softly to himself in some dark corner as the other designers let his horrible ideas slip through the cracks.

I would not, at all, be surprised. How else does stuff like Pazuzu and DCFS get written?

Am I correct in thinking that DCFS would be Dark Chaos feat swap?

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's designers who are thinking from a DM's point of view only, who create things that are great for story purposes but insanely abusable in the hands of any player. It's the same people who made that campaign where all the doors were made of Adamantium or Mithral... so that the first player to realize he's got Fabricate and Shrink Item on his spell list just falls over in a giggling fit for an hour before he can deal with that fact. Something I just came up with: Charm Person, Fling Ally and Distant Shot. The Andromeda galaxy is within my line of sight, right? You have to be level 21 unless you're a 17th-level rogue or dragonwrought kobold, though. Eberron could use this for deep-space probes - just have bloodstorm blades throw warforged.

My workDeviantArtCurrent gamesThe tier system in a nutshell: Tier 6: A cartographer. Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman. Tier 4: An expert marksman. Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left. Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy. Tier 1: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything and the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.

So Goliath Rogue 10/Binder 1 just got a lot more interesting, eh?

According to some, Rogue negates ALL pre-requisites. I think they are on drugs, but hey, there you go.

Well, it's kind of binary. Either it ignores prerequisites, and so ignores all of them, or it doesn't ignore prerequisites at all, and there's no reason to mention rogues in this context. So I assumed, as rogues were mentioned, that it was the former context.

Yeah. Some weird-arsed reading of bits and pieces of the MM seem to indicate that all bonus feats are the same and bonus feats ignore pre-requisites unless otherwise indicated. I think it is just somebody with a beef against the system trying to creatively interprete things to make it look worse than it is. Perhaps his job application to WotC got rejected.

Yeah. Some weird-arsed reading of bits and pieces of the MM seem to indicate that all bonus feats are the same and bonus feats ignore pre-requisites unless otherwise indicated. Well, this is the Dirty Trick Handbook. And I'd think that such a vague reading of the MM to allow your 12th level character to fling 'allies' into the sun qualifies.

One thing I was wondering. Does anyone know if there is an item that provides infinite rope/chain?

Use-activated universal item of Psionic Minor Creation? Wouln't last for too long, though. Also, no idea what the DC on a hempen rope is.

Isn't there an item that gives you about 100ft of silk rope that you can cut up and it will grow back or something?
