I think I have that under control. Skullz quickly transforms into a hooded figure, face concealed. Hat of Disguise, never leave your crypt without it!

In a last ditch attempt to derail this undead from joining them Nerie actually speaks in a sentence, "For one surprised by its appearance,  it's well prepared to hide it."

Dammne poor diplomacy checks is what she's thinking now. But don't worry Emissary, she's done griping and I'm not playing her as Chaotic Stupid.

"Well, I'm satisfied. Hes better than some others I've worked with before in terms of personality, though we'd need to do something about his looks."
Sigrud gives the others a questioning look.
"I don't recall you being made the emperor of me.  But if you want him along, he can come along, as long as you understand that you kill him if he turns on us.  Before we die of his treachery, that is."

I never go anywhere without my hat! Skullz turns toward the voice. I just remembered how I became an undead! I barely knew that I had died!

Ignoring the undead: her companions will deal with her if it becomes a problem; she moves silently through the brush as her position is compromised and then recentres to her environment. There is always more than one way to die.
Having found a safe, relatively speaking, hiding spot, Flicker continues examining the clearing and surrounding area. The mist has grown a bit thicker, obstructing most ground-level vision through the brush, so not much is seen there. Turning to the trees and taller shrubbery, Flicker notices nothing out of the ordinary in this jungle. There are vines, snakes, and birds, as normal for a jungle, and even up in the trees, she can see the leaves moving as smaller creatures move into hiding places, much like her.
Vala's hackles rise as the unnatural creature comes to life and introduces itself.

Just as she's about to speak, a black blur passes her as Marrock runs up to the skeletal creature and attempts to take off with its femur.

Marrock growls and struggles to get the bone free. "It's stuck on there good, Vala! But don't worry, I'll bring you back a nice present when I'm through"

"Marrock, drop it! Drop it....Good boy."

The wolf saunters back to Vala while the humans utter their meaningless words.

Vala stares coldly at the skeleton. "I don't trust you," she begins coolly, "You should be dead, and you aren't."
"He tastes funny too," Marrock comments
"I'll be watching you, Skulls. One slip up, and you become Marrock's new chew toy."

Sigrud chuckles, watching the interplay between the undead magus and the druid.

A shrill shrieking sound spontaneously erupts nearby.  It carries for over a second and dies abruptly in the thick popping sound of bones breaking.

Knowledge Nature DC 20 reveals the shriek as some manner of rodent.

Similar reaction, though its intent is to perforate, but Nerie is going to keep her ears open. This could be a feint.

Sigrud took his sword up from the smouldering vegetation, ready to turn whatever it was into very small, cooked, pieces.

The sounds of the jungle are suddenly absent and an eerie quiet runs through the clearing.

When the forest is quiet, there's a reason. Giving a quick click in the tongue she shares with Dukat she starins to listen even the softest sound.

Nerie takes a 20 on Perception, making it a 30.

Dukat: 1d20+14=23

Vala hisses at the skeleton. "That WAS a potential meal... But something else got it." Her voice trails off as she looks in the direction from which the sound came. "Whatever can take out a dire rat has to be somewhat large and strong," Vala continues, "We should investigate, lest we become its next meal."

Vala snarls once more at the skeleton and then slowly starts walking towards the source of the sound. Her and Marrock sniff the ground while keeping an eye out for anything unusual.

Ok, I have an idea. We set the brush on fire and cower behind a large rock until whatever-it-is is dead.
