Slanter nods in agreement with Bhaur, slips quietly out the door and heads out in search of a good riding Wolf.

Kaban checks to make sure all of his possessions are packed and that his worg is ready to leave, then returns to the room to wait.

1 heavy warhorse, 400 gp 2 potions of enlarge person 500 gp war troll mercenary for 3 days 90 gp
bonus ownage, priceless =)
I'm kidding about the war troll, btw. Are we ready?
EDIT: In place of the war troll, I got a riding saddle, a bit and bridle, a saddlebag, leather barding, and 10 days of feed (grand total is 56.5 gp, leaving 43.5 gp). I guess the mount is fending for itself for water.

After seeking provisions from the markets of Rhukaan Draal, the group meets at the appointed place ready to travel to Gorgonhorn. The journey takes thirteen days, but is not overly bad. The first two days pass in good weather, on the finely paved road leading from Rhukaan Draal to the northeast. Partway through the third day of the journey, the group passes the grim fortress of Gathering Stone where warriors from their clan are trained in service to House Deneith.
Shortly after the group passes the fortress, they leave the road and set off across the northern plains, making for the village. Shakra corrects the course of the group every so often, but the weather is mild enough and the travel is not too difficult. The group makes good time without pressing too hard and, soon enough, reach Gorgonhorn.
The village is a small affair, holding around 800 souls. The sprawling, untidy buildings that seem to be in a state of disrepair are surrounded by an earthen berm, on which a low wall of stones has been constructed some time in the past. It has been crudely topped with iron spikes that are now slightly rusted. As the groups approach, they see the large wooden gate standing partially open - it is still day, with a few hours of light left. The opening is flanked on either side by watch towers, one of which has a bell hanging over it. The left front panel of the gate has a large patch (about four feet in diameter and roughly circular) that has been seared black.
The villagers seem to be going about their normal lives. There are farmers tending the fields inside the fence, workers repairing the buildings of the town, erecting new ones, or fortifying the walls. A pair of well-armed hobgoblins are standing watch at the front gate - as the group approaches, the one on the left calls out for the group to identify itself and state what business brings them to Gorgonhorn.

OOC: But naturally we wish to rest here for the night, we will have quite a significant amount of wilderness experience soon enough and I for one appreciate the benefits of civilization for as long as I can make use of them. If you wish to see my identification papers and travelling permit, I will of course supply them to you.You can detect a small hint of arrogance in his voice, just big enough to notice but small enough to ignore. The wizard studies the overall sight of the village whilst he talks. Quite a decayed place this. In similarity to our old empire. I wonder what could make such an impression. It could be a Fireball , yet a myrriad of other things. If the source was a opposing force that assaulted this village and were not exterminated fully, or part of a larger body of creatures that has yet to be defeated, there is a possibility it will end up with it beeing our concern aswell as theirs.I see you have had some difficulties with a minor conflagration aswell as some more significant issues with your protective wall. What have occured here?He points towards the gate, towards the scorched mark, then lets the gesture flow out and encompass the entire outer wall. Settled, he looks up on the hobgoblin guards, giving of the impression that in his mind its not he that is too small but rather the hobgoblins that are too big.

Setting down his pack briefly, Grell rummages through it in search of his ID papers. Once he finishes, he picks up the pack and slings it back over his shoulder. "Identification papers? I've got 'em right here. We only plan on spending the night here."

Bhaur merely grips his glaive tighter, making no move to provide identification. They had not asked for it, so he certainly will not present it. No sense giving them any information on me.

Traveling papers will not be required, the guard says as he looks the group over once they are closer to him. Going *into* the Mournland? You're welcome to it - just don't let the word get out in town. Some of them might not think too kindly of it... folks from outside coming in and stirring up trouble, then leaving us to deal with it. Gate got burned a week ago - something built low to the ground, with four legs but plates like the finest set of armor covering the top and sides. It crawled right up to it in the night, grabbed on and bit in. Some kind of acid. The other stuff, well... he shrugs. We aren't exactly the top destination for trade and supplies, never mind that we project the fields of the northern plains. If you want to stay here, your welcome to it. You can get accommodations from the Stuck Hog for a few coppers a night - they won't be very good, mind you. Or you could see if you can make arrangements somewhere else in town - people would probably put you up for the chance for news and a bit of coin. Just make sure you don't cause any trouble - we've got things trying to kill us without killing each other.

Turns around and looks at the others yes i think this stuck hog place should be okay? I'll meet you here by the gate in the morning. Then i turn Dworek around and head for the nearest suitably large wooded area to set up camp for the night, If you want I'll take care of the worgs for the night.
OOC: Since Worgs are common goblin riding animals, would most stables be equipped and prepared to handle carnivorous intelligent animals? I will also have refused to sleep inside city walls for any settlements we have come across so far.

With that, Graff stashes his papers back into his pack, and replies, "Don't worry. We don't plan on causing any trouble."
To self *At least, not here.*

Slanter hands his wolf off to Shakra and eagerly goes into the city proper mumbling under his breath. "Bloody wilderness..."
