It is still under consideration, but I have an idea brewing in my head and I want to give DMing yet another go. Usually I am not too much into it, but PbP might actually be my niche.

I see people throwing around all these ideas, and my Hellbred Eldritch Disciple Hellfire Warlock feels... inadequate.
I know it's not a powerhouse cleric 20, but I really want to play it... :'(
Otherwise.... Maybe a Crusader that tries to be Mineralized...
I'll try to get some more advice on the Hellbred first though.

I find your lack of faith disturbing. Make a Hellfire Warlock and it will do great, infinite resources are usually good at low levels and it's not like we haven't seen a bunch of amazing Warlock builds. At least I suspect your build will fill all the CO standards.

After's character in another game has an ED as his cohort. they're definately useful characters.

Question!
How does one play in PbP? I have never done it before. It is like freeform RP via posts? How does it work.
Sorry for the noob-ness.

It can be freeform, but this one uses normal D&D 3.5 rules.
Essentially, it is just playing D&D, but all interaction is done by posting to the forums. Fights are likely to use an online dice roller, such as Invisiblecastle, and character interaction might not play as big a part as usual, because at least I don't like posting one-word replies.
But as normally, DM tells the setting, gives an opening posts and then the playing starts. Anything in particular you want to be clarified?

I would like to join, but I think the boat has sailed on this one (being one hour left and all). I just have no experience with a pbp at all. I totally mean 0. Zip. Nada I'll watch this one from the sidelines and see what's the what and may join the next one Thanks for your clarification.

I'd love to throw my hat in on this one. Mostly a lurker, though a few people might remember me. Been wanting to play a skillmonkey concept I've had for a while now, but I think it would end up a bit high on the power curve for the group I normally play with. I'll work on the full build, but it's certainly not going to look like your standard Rogue 20

I feel better. Thanks for smacking that moment of insanity from my mind. I won't quite be infinite in resources until 2nd level (far off in the future, I'm sure), but Cleric 1 to start shouldn't be bad either. I was thinking Chain Shirt and a longspear, along with a light crossbow until 2nd level when I can start eldritch blasting.

And I was going to go to bed...
I'll just have to struggle to keep myself in a tired, yet awake state, futiley attempting to beat down the adrenaline that is now pumping through my viens.

I do a happy dance, spin in a circle, and pass out from excitement (that, and exhaustion after having been up since 4 AM local time and putting in a 12-hour work day.)
Good night, I will celebrate more tomorrow.
