Not a great optimiser, but interested in a game. I suggest starting up a number of threads with different story backgrounds, to see who joins what. I'd like to try an Eberron campaign.

B: I'd be passed out if I wasn't waiting for maintenance to come replace the smoke detector in my room. The beeping it is making as it dies slowly is keeping me up >.<

I'm off to sleep for a bit. Feel free to PM me if any of you want to take up the mantle for a 3rd or 4th party...
Gah! Nooooooo! I feel like starting my own game, but that would entail DMing.

We're ALL rules lawyers here, mang. The BEST at what we do, too. It's like a Tom Grisham novel in which everybody at the top law firm is a dirty crook, but they all know the rules so well that TECHNICALLY speaking, they aren't breaking them . . . I thought Surreal posted in the original "interest" thread? Aw hell, I'll play with any y'all - y'all my people. In truth, this board is where some pretty loopy people with very bizarre ways of playing have all found each other - so fun!

Someone needs to step forward and offer to DM. Hopefully someone does in th next 11 hours, otherwise I'll have to let some people down, and that's never fun. On a side note: the smoke detector is fixed, and I'm out.

You lie. I love you, and you can't stay away.
Sleep is for the weak!
<EDIT: Just so's you know, so totally untrue! I get up at 5 am every morning, which has made me appreciate sleep like you wouldn't believe . . .>
I am gonna be evil. Don't try to talk me out of it! I'd like to lobby for whoever's in my crew being Neutral or Evil too, or just flexible enough to realize that evil and good can get along just fine when their interests coincide (like all those episodes of He-Man where Skeletor and He-man have to work together to overcome another problem!). Plus, for some reason everybody seems to think Evil can't have any friends and is a total jerk; Evil's GOT to have friends, or otherwise it isn't scary! Evil's all about palling up with people who have your back, then going off to cause trouble as an undefeatable unit. Good times.

I wish to express interest in playing. I can't really take any DM role right now, though. I'll probably go with a LN Azurin Incarnate, but be warned, I'm not an excellent COer just yet, and likely would be a fifth wheel for a while.

Just so's you know, my idea of evil is the "power-hungry, greedy, funny 'cuz he's such a bastard"-style evil, a la everybody's favorite cad, Belkar. I'm good for comic relief, murderous, and generally hilarious. I'm probably going to be playing some sort of psychotic Pikachu (read Beguiler from Shining South).

I'd take up the mantle of DMing another group, but I'm a novice DM (currently starting my very first campaign), so I don't think I'm up to the challenge of trying to kill five optimized characters.

I keep waiting for him to kill everyone else and take their stuff.

Killing a group as a DM is easy. It's creating a series of challenging encounters through the mechanisms of the ruleset that give your players a hard time while making it fun, and integrating it into a story that is often hard for many DMs. I have complete faith in aftercrescent though, as well as the rest of the COmmunity.
