I know exactly what I was talking about. I was making a joke because he was the only one who said he would not use it.

Heck, how could you not want to use it?  I mean, even on oneself.  The only issue I'm seeing with that though, is that you'd still have to have the motivation to actually get up and run.  Unless the power actually distances you from your body with you as a prisoner, which would be really cool for working out.

Well, it's becomes a compulsive behavior. Granted, you could shut it off, so the argument could be made that most people would just shut it off rather than let it keep controlling them to do what they themselves told it to make them do, but I expect those kinds of people already know that and wouldn't bother using it on themselves in the first place.

You could also compel yourself to not change the command without a three-day advance except in the case of an issue of health or emergency, theoretically. And you could also spontaneously give whoever you targeted orgasms.

I haven't said what -I- would use it for, and mine is frankly a lot less ethical than most. I would take Kim Jong-il, and slowly alter his actions in small slight ways over a period of time, so that he would eventually think that his personality was changing on its own. It's brainwashing, basically, and gentle nods at first are less likely to cause mental anguish. And as I did so, I would eventually groom him into restructuring North Korea entirely. Torture camps are the first thing to go.

Heh, so I don't have to actively control the power?  I could just tell it what to do and it would have to be carried out until end commands were met?

Right. Though if you target someone else, and the order conflicts with what their mind wants to do, you will get a reminder every half-hour.

Yeah, that's kind of odd, in my opinion. You're basically subverting one person's free will to grant others free will. Also, if you are going to do it, I question the slow approach. Cognitive dissonance is a great tool.

Well, I am Chaotic Good. Ends justify the means, sometimes. When I feel like it.

Slow approach is for my own protection. I'd go insane from the constant interruptions of "WHAT AM I DOING I AM TRAPPED IN MY OWN BODY." Also, the changes are more likely to be long-lasting if they start out subtle in case he's assassinated or something.

It's not constant, just every half hour

But yeah, I would probably use it on myself to motivate myself then.  If that wasn't the case, I don't know what I'd use it for.  Everything else would seem like a hollow victory over something.

Barring the most obvious use (getting myself a drop-dead gorgeous girlfriend, teaching her about games and Heavy Metal if she doesn't know already), I guess I would torture whatever random douchebag I ran into, just for the purpose of hearing him scream in my mind.

Also: make Britney Spears smoke crack while on the edge of a rooftop, cross my fingers and hope she plummets to her death. Either that or forcing the politicians in my country to act like they give a damn.

To be honest, my first thought was using it on myself to have better sex with Astralfire.

Selfish, short-sighted, and small of scope, but I wasn't in the mood to ponder a really good use of it deeply at the time.

Clearly, you should go back and look at what I typed, then. *grin*

If you're going to be like that, I suppose it's pointless to try and hide what's really going on when neither one of us can be bothered to get online for a weekend. Forgive me, darling muffin sweet honeycakes?  Flirt

Never mind the insults (which are clearly 4Chan-level childish). You say people like Sunic are the bane of the internet? Try looking at your own post and telling me you are better than him.

Here's a fun fact: You aren't. By a few leagues.
