Okay, I know I'm already playing in three other games and I might even submit a sheet for a fourth but none of these games really fulfill a need I have since I started playing this game 10 years ago.

I have always wanted to play a 12th level character of something like that but the highest I came to was 10th.

I have lots of ideas for characters that I'd love to try: Evil, Good, Melee, Arcane, Psionic, Divine and I'm up for any setting. I just need a DM and some players.

Do you think we can do this?

I'll play.  Big Grin  Love to DM but can't, too many things on my plate. :/

I've never played in an evil game (ran one once), always wanted to try...

EDIT:  Okay, here's two options for my builds for an evil game:

1) Binder 5/Ur-Priest 2/Anima Mage 5 (--> B5/UP2/AM8/Knight of the Sacred Seal 5)
2) Warlock 5/Binder 1/Ur-Priest 2/Eldritch Disciple 3 (-->W5/B1/UP2/ED8/Hellfire Warlock 3/W+1)

I'm interested in playing as well. I've been wanting to play evil for quite some time now.. I don't even remember the last time I DID play it; all the Good games I played with my IRL playgroup clouded my mind from the Dark Side.. ;/

I'm fine with anything starting in the 10-12th level range, and I'd probably try out a Psi-Gish/Melee/Lockdown build of sorts, although I've got many ideas I want to try so this idea isn't set in stone.

Well, well.

I knew I wouldn't have a problem finding players, It's the DM that worries me.

LOL ya probly no shortage of players here. Evil games are very fun but can get into situations where people get pissed. Atleast in my IRL group  Devil

I know someone who wants to run a high level game, he plays in my RavenLoft game. His names Einherjar... I will poke him and see what I can do  Big Grin

The trick with a successful evil game (if you don't want to run a PvP kind of thing) is to design the plot so the PCs are highly motivated to work together.  I've used four methods of doing so:

1) Common enemy.  If the rest of the world (or at least some subsection of it) is out to get you, you band together for mutual protection.
2) Intimidation.  Someone you are scared of tells you you have to work together or else bad things will happen.
3) Mutual goal.  You have some goal to accomplish which will be achieved much faster and/or more easily by relying on teamwork.
4) Esprit de corps (corpse?).  The party all care about each other, so they will work together.  Works pretty well with family members.

The problem with all of these is that under not-to-uncommon circumstances, one or more of the PCs (if they're being played in character) is likely to find advantage by betraying another of the PCs.  So... it's not easy.

See if you can get Bozwevial to restart the "Death of an Artist" campaign, and join it. It is definitely evil, and currently ECL 10. We have an airship haunted by an undead thrallherd (my character). Big Grin

All right, I'm awake. Big Grin I had a high lvl/epic lvl campaign I was going to run at some point - which dna1 has been bugging me to start - and I could probably tweak it to be an evil game without too much trouble. I was thinking that I would have players start at lvl 15 and it would run well into epic lvls (players would have their choice of four final bosses, all whom have CRs in the 40s Devil). It would be set in Forgotten Realms, simply because that is the campaign setting that I'm most familiar with, but anyone who wants to use material from another setting can talk to me about it and I'll probably allow it unless I can think of a good reason for it not to be allowed in FR. So ya, if you guys are interested, give me a yell and I'll tell you more about it.

The campaign starts simply enough, with the standard "giant hoard of savage humanoids appears out of nowhere and there is a great wrecking of shit" scenario. The complication is that the orcs, goblins, gnolls, hobgoblins, bugbears, lizardfolk, etc. that make up this hoard all have 10-15 character levels each, so their army - which, unlike most such armies, runs like a well oiled machine - is pretty much unstoppable, given that the average NPC soldier is only lvl 2 or 3. On top of that, they have giant war beasts the size of small castles that they use as living siege engines, so the situation for the world looks bleak. The first part of the campaign is surviving the onslaught and trying to figure out where the hell these guys came from. After that, there are several different courses of action that could be taken, but eventually you'll have to take down one of their four generals. Which one you go after and how you plan to kill him are, of course, up to you. Big Grin In the process of this, you will naturally have to travel to exotic locations and meet some rather interesting people. Given that you guys wanted this to be an evil campaign, you would start out just trying to survive, but eventually you could try and take control of some part of the enemy army, with which to carve out a kingdom of your own. High-level survival sounds interesting. Are there any limitations regarding character's backstory? Can we use obscure magic systems as incarnum or pact magic?

I have nothing against obscure magic systems, but I will warn you that from what I've seen, a lot of the alternate magic systems fall behind in epic level play. Make whatever you want, just try to run it by me first. I do reserve the right to veto, but I can't really picture myself doing doing so, unless I thought something was silly, cause I did want this to be at least a semi-serious campaign. Also, letting me know what you're building will give me a chance to brush up on any of the alternate systems that I'm not familiar with before play starts. I know psionics, pact magic, both types of shadow magic, true name magic, book of nine swords, and invoking classes, but I've never actually used an incarnum caster. Big Grin

Well I can say for certain I intend to play a martial/melee character. Spells get to time consuming in those levels of play.

What creation rules are we following. ecl 15, 32pt buy? anything else? any racial/template restrictions?  Devil

((edit- are we playing deathwatch or anything this weekend? my phones not working atm so just msg me here or pm me or w/e Big Grin. i know me and dylan have saturday off... anyways ya lemme know.))

If we're going for the evil party, I was oriented towards a Dinosaur Animating Cleric going for sovereign speaker maybe.
