To be fair, Hyperconcious barely counts as third-party.  it was written by the same guy who wrote the Expanded Psionics Handbook.

I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Quotes:
By yes, she means no.
That explains so much about my life.

Why would you even do this? It hurts my eyes and looks like you ate your keyboard before suffering an attack of explosive diarrhea.

If using Genesis to hide your phylactry, set it at -300 degrees farenheit.  See how do-gooders fare with a liquid atmosphere.

But to answer the question, none of the Stygian powers can create undead. Most are just negative levels.
Question: What do you get if a creature is killed via negative levels?

24 hours later you get a wight. Which you can command through some of the powers. Which can then go around making more wights, that are under its command. et alli.

But there are no equivalents to Animate Dead for you to make Awakened Remorhaz Skeletons. No Create or Greater Create to make Bone Creatures, Shadows or any of the other Dread Necromancer fun-bags for Psions. UNLESS you're using spell-to-power.

There is Psianimate Dead, from Hyperconscious, which can make some incredible critters if you really try, though it's not a specific kind of undead creature.

Do keep in mind that the undead you create keeps its memories and mental ability scores, meaning that it should have the same personality as before it died (though subject to slavery by you, should you wish to enforce it).

This can be quite useful, I think, even if your vict...err...friends lose class levels because of it.

there is also two undead psi prestige that i can think of off of the top of my head, the name of one is grim psion. i don't recall the other without looking it up.

also, the sangehirn can is a psi prestige that can use the psionic healing effects on others rather than just self only. but that is a class ability rather than a true direct healing affect.

sounds like they are playing an erudite or something similar.

Research powers is ~about 10 to 1 more expensive than what an Erudite can do.

So while an Erudite has an incentive to just glom every spell possible
over to the psi side, a Psion has to be rather choosy.
PsyRef cuts down on the "need" to be so choosy.

Whatever you'd bring over from magic to psi,
a Psion won't and can't do it as well as the
original magic class or a hopped up Erudite.

Spellpoint Animate Dead looks good.
Spellpoint Shadow Evoc or Conj also looks good.
Limited Wish is 1 level cheaper than Bend Reality
and has quicker access to some thing.
Psi Planar Binding = don't say pun-pun.

and once an erudite knows it, a psion or wilder can learn it.

Sleep, psionics needs a good analog to that spell.
