A228: No. It acts just like a long/shortbow and a quarterstaff/club, depending on which one you have and how you wield it.

Drat, no double weapon/ranged weapon combo unit using only the proficiencies picked up by bard + warblade, then.

Q221: If one becomes immune to the effects of taint, such as being undead or having the evil subtype, do they still gain the bonus feats?(If Undead I'd say they can get at most two from depravity, since they have no CON score to base corruption of)
What bonus feats? Taint doesn't give feats. It is on page 67 of Heroes of Horror, and is unlisted in the table of contents (for your convenience). By HoH rules yes, as taint can be calculated off wis. Unearthed Arcana taint Rules say no, but those rules are notably worse. Also, you're DM might let you shift Corruption to CHA based, as Concentration was shifted to that score.

Countdown to Zombie Apocalypse 97 When you see this, copy it into your sig and -1 Quotes In other words, he thinks there's a "correct" way to play D&D. *sigh* There is: Kill shit and loot the corpse! When you use a tool the way it was designed for -- its intended function -- then it will work very well for you.
But it's not the tool's fault if you use it for something else and you fail utterly, such as trying to eat cereal with a butterknife, pounding nails with a screwdriver, blogging to voice your political opinions, and brushing your teeth with a hammer.

Undead actually automatically have a corruption score of half Charisma +2. (Evil outsiders add +3 instead.) Because they have no CON score, that means they base their level of corruption only off WIS instead. That's all. By HoH rules yes, as taint can be calculated off wis. Unearthed Arcana taint Rules say no, but those rules are notably worse. Also, you're DM might let you shift Corruption to CHA based, as Concentration was shifted to that score.

Q229: I am looking for the least expensive way to become a Giant? I see that there is the Half-Giant race from XPH, which are kinda lame. Then there is the Half-Ogre Template from RoD. Are there any +0/+1 templates that turn you into a giant? I am looking for a cheap way to add the primordial giant template.

Eniko (race from Secrets of Sarlona) are pretty good. They are similar to Goliath and Half-giants in that they get Powerful Build and +1 LA. They are human/ogre/ogre mage mutts that breed true. They are a more appealing option (IMO) than Half-Giant. IIRC, they get something like +2 Str, -2 Dex, +2 Con, are type: Giant, get auto-proficiency with Longbows, and can cast Endure Elements and Pass w/o Trace 1/day as a racial SLA.

Yellow Musk Zombie, but it makes you Mindless. - Fiend Folio Also the Blightspawned Creature template from Unapproachable East. (Also see the Talontor Blightlord PrC in the same book). Note that the Blightspawned template is of limited duration. It is an infection that deals Cha damage, and once you reach Cha 0 (IIRC) you die and become a Juju Zombie (from the same book).

I guess with the occasional lesser restoration, you could be one indefinitely, though.

No, blight touch is a disease that deals cha damage and turns you into a blightspawned (if you qualify) when you reach 0 cha. Blightspawned is a template that forces you to make a fort save each month (DC 15 + 1 per previous month) or become a juju zombie.

I knew it was limited in how long you lived as a plant. I suppose you could take the Indomitable Fortitude (or whatever feat it is so your Fort saves don't fail on a 1) and pump your Fort save through the roof. Having a cleric buddy with the protection domain wouldn't be a bad idea either. You'll still eventually fail it, but it could be an interesting character to play, knowing you have a limited life.

Q 231 DM is giving a 2nd level melee PC a free 1k item. What should they take? The obvious choice is the cloak of resistance, but what other options are there?

Depending on how much time you spend in the dark/underground... Ring of Darkhidden.

Depending on how much time you spend in the dark/underground... Ring of Darkhidden. That's 2k. Whoops. I somehow went dyslexic and read that as a 1st level PC getting a 2k item...

Make your armor +1? Healing Belt? Hand of the Mage? Dust of Dryness (surprise 100 gallons of water)?

A healing belt is only 750 gp. Any chance you can split it between two items? You could add on a least crystal of lifekeeping for 200 gp.
